Into A Lot of Things

For one of the few times in her life, Sara was speechless.

Where had that come from? How? Why? It was all so beautiful- like a dream. This was what guys in movies said, not what real guys said. But Javier had just said it. And the best part is, she could tell he was sincere.

Maybe he wasn't like all the other guys. Maybe he was special. His words had sounded different- more... sophisticated than he usually was, but she knew that's what love did. It made you do things, feel things that nothing else could, and revealed parts of you that you didn't even know you had. For once in her life, she believed all the things he said. That was definitely special.

She blushed and tried to form a response.

"Uh, um, okay... wow."

Javier blushed himself. "Sorry. I just couldn't keep that in. You had to know." Sara smiled.

"I honestly don't know how to respond to that." Javier put his hand on her cheek.

"Then don't. Can your lips respond?" he asked. Sara grinned.

"Definitely." Sara felt the electric tingle of Javier's skin on hers, and then rush that went through her when their lips met. She was sure there was no better feeling. Maybe it was even better than when she wrote a new song. She pulled away suddenly and looked at him.

"What?" Javier asked.

"You're just beautiful," Sara said. "In every single fucking way."

Javier grinned. "Is this because of what I said?" he asked playfully. But Sara was serious.

She shook her head and laughed a little. "No," she said. "You're just amazing. Everything. I wish I could explain, but I can't. I love you." Sara was stunned at the way she felt. She'd never felt anything like this before. Ever. It was like she'd just woken up after 3 weeks of sleep. Like her body was filled with sunshine. He made her happy, and not just when he was around. It was everyday, all the time, never ending. He simply made life better. Sara hadn't had the best luck with guys before, but he was making her feel differently. Sure, their relationship had already had problems, and they probably weren't out of the woods yet, like any couple. But they always worked it out, and Sara had no doubt they wouldn't in the future. That was the important thing.

"Oh, and by the way," she said. "I trust you." Javier smiled.

"Good."

"What about me?" Sara asked.

"Huh?"

"Do you trust me?"

Javier blinked. "Um... duh. Yes. Of course."

"You don't sound so sure," Sara said. It was important to her to know that they trusted each other- not just that she trusted him.

"It's just that I can't believe you would ask that. I have no reason not to trust you," he said. "Of course I do." Sara smiled.

"Good."

"Good." Sara was pulling him into a hug when her phone rang. She rolled her eyes.

"Sorry," she said. "I should take it though. It's Jenny."

"No, it's fine," Javier said.

"You sure?" Sara asked. "I mean, it kinda ruined the moment." Javier shook his head.

"It's fine, I swear!"

Sara quickly answered and walked into Javier's bedroom.

"Hello?"

"Hey!" Stacey said.

"Hey."

"How are you?" Stacey asked. "I'm so sorry about what happened. It sucks." Sara bit her lip and almost laughed.

"I'm good," she said.

"Really? How?"

"Cause I got everything figured out," Sara said. "And we talked it out, and we're okay."

"Really?! Omigosh yay!!!" Stacey exclaimed. Sara laughed.

"Yeah. I'm pretty happy about it."

"Well, yeah! Are you busy? Do you need to go?"

"I mean, I'm not busy, I'm just at his house."

"Oooh! You should go! I'll talk to you later." Sara hung up and walked back to Javier.

"We should do something," Sara suggested.

"Like what?"

"I don't know." But then Sara thought of something. "Hey..." Javier grinned.

"Oh god, what?"

Sara laughed. "Why'd you say it like that?" she asked.

"Cause you have some kind of plan," Javier said. "I know that voice."

"Well, maybe I do have a plan."

"What is it?"

"We should go to Eureka." Javier froze. He had forgotten about that.

"Uh..."

"What?"

"You already went," Javier said.

"Yeah...but I was gonna go with you, remember? And then after everything with us happened, I went because I needed to get away from everything. But we were gonna go."

"Yeah..." Javier sighed. "I just. What if they don't like me?"

"Why wouldn't they? And if they didn't, so what? We're adults, we can date if we want to." She almost said that Jenny felt weird about him, but didn't let It slip. She couldn't.

"Please?"

"I guess so." Sara hugged him.

"Thank you!!!" Javier smiled.

"Okay." Javier's face changed to a more serious look.

"By the way... I need to talk to you," he said. Sara's heart skipped. That wasn't good. Don't get paranoid, she told herself. He just agreed to drive 10 hours for you.

"Um, okay. What about?"

"So...so we've been getting more serious lately... I think." He looked at Sara like he wanted confirmation. She nodded.

"Yeah."

"And... I really, really love you." Sara smiled.

"Yeah." She laughed, but thought of something. "Are you asking me to marry you again? Please... don't." Javier laughed a little.

"No, no. We already went over that."

Sara grinned. "Okay."

"Look. I hate being away from you... like, a lot. And, I was wondering, uh... do you wanna move in with me?"
