Bleeding Love

2 days later, Sara still couldn't stop thinking about him. She had wanted to try and figure everything out, but the only thing she could figure out was that she was slowly falling for Javier.

She had gotten no texts, calls, or any sign of him whatsoever during those two days. She missed talking to him, but she thought it was best to keep her distance until she figured everything out. Until today.

What had she went with? Her mind, or her heart? Her mind was still screaming, "don't do it, you'll get destroyed," but her heart was bleeding love for him with every beat. How do you compete with that? After logging out of Twitter, telling her fans about how endlessly amazing they were, she finally messaged him.

"Hi." 5 minutes later, she heard the "ding" noise of a new text.

"I thought you didn't want to talk to me," Javier said. Sara got more tense with every second.

"Not the case," she typed. "Can I come over?" He agreed and she put on her favorite outfit- a white, flowy sundress that fit her perfectly, edgy black, short boots, and a white cardigan. The sun was going down, and it was getting chilly, despite the usual L.A. heat. She curled her dark, shiny brown hair and took the time to do her makeup how she thought he would like it, natural but enough so that it could be noticed.

She turned the radio down in her car, her thoughts already loud enough. It was a 20-minute drive, and she almost got lost a few times, but managed to arrive at his house in a decent amount of time. She knocked and he opened the door, in a white t-shirt and dark jeans, looking gorgeous as ever. She stepped in, taking in his adorable house once again, then moved toward him and squeezed his hand.

"I'm sorry," she began. "I should have given you...more clear ideas." He nodded but said nothing.

"I'm scared as hell...but these past 2 days have given me a lot of time to think about everything and figure out what I want, and I'd really love for you to give me another chance." He looked at her with a spark of hope in his eyes, but still was silent. She started to panic but tried not to show it.

"Please," she said. "Our last date was amazing, and I can't imagine not doing that again, I'm ready to take a chance, and the way I feel when I'm with you-" Javier silenced her fast rambling with a kiss. She was surprised but ecstatic, and kissed him back, passionately. They pulled apart a little after a minute, their foreheads still touching.

"It's okay," Javier said. "I promise, I won't hurt you. I'll give you my best." Sara nodded and said,

"I believe you. Let's start the past 3 days over and forget it ever happened." She leaned in again, kissing him softly in the dim light, and she knew nothing could ever compare to how she felt right now. She heard a new text come through, but didn't even think about checking it. She was too absorbed in Javier.

Later, as they watched T.V. and ate pizza, Sara and Javier played with cards, trying to build them into a house like little kids. It was late, and they were getting tired. Javier built his house of cards with extreme focus, and a look on his face that made Sara laugh.

"Do you do everything as seriously as you're building that?" She asked. "'Cause if so, maybe we're not right for each other. Sometimes I don't give a shit about anything." He looked up at her words, and she saw a bit of worry in his eyes. His cards fell.

"Relax," she said. "It was a joke." His face melted into a fake look of anger and said in a childish voice, "Sara Bareilles, you just made my house fall!" He crossed his arms and frowned. Sara laughed and scooted closer to him, her own cards falling. She laid her head on his shoulder and he stroked her hair. She yawned, and they moved to the couch, where Javier held her as they talked.
