Arriving back in Washington was chaos for Emilia. Mike was waiting for her at the airport. The first thing they did was go on a date since they hadn't been on any since the day after her birthday.
It was a simple dinner at the diner then a movie up in her room. Jet Lag and time zone difference took her out by the end of the movie.
Then the next three days she spent resting before Alice dragged her over to their house for a full weekend of catching up.
She revealed her very witchy secret to them, accidentally, even though Alice already knew. But because Emilia was supernatural too, Rosalie warmed up to her better. She was still human to Rose though. They told their secret, and she knew they were different.
But she did tell them that as a witch she wouldn't get in vampire business unless it directly affected someone she loved.
It was a learning experience.
Then after the Cullen's was her original group of 'friends'. Where she ended up staying a few days with Angela and Jessica.
She spent time with Charlie and the rest of her summer was spent on the reservation with her favorite guys. It was mostly going to the beach or chilling at somebody's house.-
Inevitably, school started again.
With Emilia's busy schedule, she would barely have free time to do anything other than study.
Since she found out she was a witch, she dedicated a couple hours a day to practicing, improving, and occasionally searching for the box of her mothers things that was placed in Bella's room after she stopped going to Charlie's.
At the end of the first semester she would start applying to colleges, mainly her dream ones. Like MIT, Duke, Stanford, and UCLA.
Then of course there was the preparations for her graduation the next year. She had big plans for that. Her goal was to stay at the top of her class and be valedictorian, just like her mom was.
Emilia sat down at her original friends table for lunch. Since Dr. Banner wasn't a teacher there anymore, she had time for her friends at lunch. Mike was staring at her with a weird look on his face.
"What?" Emilia asked, starting to feel self conscious.
"When did you dye your hair?" Mike asked, grabbing a few strands of the faded red streaks. "Um, over the summer. . . Why?"
"I don't like it." He responded, releasing the hair, ultimately stunning her, the cullens, and the few people at the table who were listening."Excuse you?" Emilia was starting to get defensive at that point.
"I like your natural hair better.” He stated simply.
"Okay? It's literally my hair on my body. One of the kids I watched over the summer dyed it, so it means something to me. But of course, if you insist I change it." She gives him a fake reassuring smile, which he returned with a grin.
-
Since it was getting colder again, she resorted to jeans and hoodies. Emilia stepped out of her car, slinging her bookbag over her shoulder. She looked hot and she knew it.
Alice was admiring her work, since she was the one who sat up and dyed her hair the night before.
Mike looked to be on the verge of anger, while she was radiating confidence, which Jasper felt. As Emilia made her way towards Alice, to thank her once again, Mike pulled her off to the side."What the hell, Emilia!? You said you'd fix it!" Mike hissed at his girlfriend of a year.
"I never said I'd fix it. I said I'd change it, if you insisted and I made it better. Because you know what? What color my hair is doesn't matter, it's none of your concern. Just because we've been dating all this time doesn't mean you can tell me what to do." She responded in a normal tone, prepared to walk away. Just as she turned, he grabbed her hand.
"My dad doesn't like dyed hair," he started. "He thinks it makes someone look like a clown.. I'm trying to help you, because I love you!" Emilia stared at the boy in shock.
In the year of their relationship, they'd never said the 'L' word. She quickly recovered and stepped away from him, removing her hand from his grasp in the process.
"I'm not dating your dad, I'm dating you. . . and even now I may have to rethink that. Just because of some hair. . . By the way, your dad said it suited me nicely. So therefore your comment is irrelevant."
She walked away just as the bell rang. Yay... Junior Year. She thought to herself as she entered her first class of the new school year, with Rosalie.

This was her outfit/hair! <3
I know it's not very 2000's, but I'd like to say Emilia is ahead of her time with fashion. Not my best chapter because I suck at writing relationships. Let's see how this book goes.
