Emilia's alarm clock started going off at 5 am. She showered and got dressed before she started a pot of coffee for herself and Clint.

Clint's alarm went off at 6 am, the bathroom door closed at 6:04.
As time got closer to 7 am, she started stressing. Was she dressed properly? Would she have to change? What if she wasn't good enough? What if training was hard and made her look dumb?

Emilia sighed and sat down on the couch, turning on the TV. She watched cartoons until Clint came out, fully dressed. "I made coffee, it's on the counter."

"Thanks. . ." Clint mumbled. "Might wanna get something to eat before we leave, never know when your lunch breaks gonna be."

"I'll get something." Emilia said in response.

"If we leave now, there will be enough time to find parking." Clint said, tossing her a poptart, which she caught with one hand without looking.

"Okay. . . Are you driving or am I?" She questioned.
"I'll drive, just make sure you have hair ties and a pair of sneakers."
"Yeah I got it, now let's go! I don't want to be late on my first day. It's bad enough I have anxiety."

"There's nothing to worry about, everything will be fine."

"Your trigger discipline is absolutely horrendous." Emilia told the man who was pointing a gun in her general direction.
"What? You don't know anything, you're a trainee." The agent said.

"I know things, like how you're not supposed to have your finger on the trigger unless you plan on shooting. Even if its not loaded, as this one isn't, you treat it as if it is." Emilia argued.

"How do you know I don't plan on shooting?"

"It's all in your posture. If you were the enemy, I could easily overpower you right now and complete the mission." Emilia said, pausing for a moment at his questioning look. "My uncle is a cop, so I know things."

The agent ground his teeth and stepped forward, placing the gun in her hand along with a magazine. "If you know so much, load the gun and shoot the target." His tone was a mix of cocky and arrogant.

Emilia loaded the gun and flipped the safety off, before firing off four shots at points that would be the most fatal in a real fight. "How's that for knowing something?"

"Beginner's luck." He said.
"Sure, we'll go with that." She responded.

Things went in similar fashion for the rest of the summer.

In just under three months, Emilia went from desk work and training occasionally, to training most of the day, occasional desk work, and working towards her first mission just in time for fall semester to start.

Fury arranged online classes, so Emilia could do work and go to school. Only time she had to go on campus was for exams, but those wouldn't come for a while.

Emilia was going for her degree in Biological Sciences, since she found a love for biology when Dr. Banner taught her for a year and a half.

It wasn't something she was great at, but she learned to love it enough to go to college for it.
