For the next few weeks, Emilia was so focused on school work, writing her valedictorian speech, and graduation growing closer, that she didn't notice Bella becoming more infatuated with the Cullens.

When she finally noticed, she wasn't all that surprised. She wasn't surprised when they started dating. However, what did surprise Emilia, was when she found out Bella knew.

"What the hell do you mean Bella knows?" Emilia hissed with wide eyes, questioning nobody in particular. "She found out on her own and he didn't lie to her." Esme said.
"I thought the whole point was for nobody else to know! I know, because I'm technically supernatural. She's human."

"She's his bloodsinger—"
"Yeah, that's still not a true mate. Bloodsinger means he wants to eat her, that he's fighting the urge to on the daily. What happens if one day, Bella gets turned, and he no longer has interest in her because she wasn't his real mate? What then?"

"We don't know. All we can do is support them." Carlisle said in attempts to diffuse the situation, but she was becoming overwhelmed with the different emotions.
Emilia only got looped in when a vampire was literally hunting her cousin. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes.

"Look, let's go get her and bring her back. If my cousin's being tracked by some psycho vampire, the last place she needs to be is Arizona. She's vulnerable there." Emilia said, grabbing her keys from the counter.

"We can't—"
"You might not be able to, but I'm going. Aside from Charlie, Renée, and a few other family members, she's all I have. She's my only cousin and I'm not letting her die or even come close."

Emilia turned her back and left the house before they could try to convince her to stay.

Emilia sped down the road, keeping an eye out for speed traps. Carlisle had called just hours before letting her know that they were on their way.

As she was driving, her phone rang beside her. Emilia picked it up and answered it, placing it on speaker. "Hello?"
"Em, where the hell are you?" Charlie's stressed voice came from the other line.
"I'm in Vegas currently, going to get Bella. I don't know exactly where she is, but I have an idea." She responded.

"Will you call me when you get to her? I just want you both to be safe." Charlie sighed.

"Yeah, I can do that. I will."

A few minutes later the call ended and Emilia threw her phone into the passenger seat. Her eyes locked on the road and she sped up.

She was only a few hours from Phoenix and by God she was on a mission.
