Over the summer, Jeremy and Elena spent a fair amount of time between the Forbes and Barkernoff (Barton, Parker, and Romanoff) residences, as they lovingly called it, much to the displeasure of Fury.

Elena stayed in Emilia's room while Jeremy took the spare— at least one adult was in the apartment with them at all times.
Emilia was constantly back and forth between Mystic Falls, home, and work trying to make sure the kids would still have a guardian if anything happened to Jenna.

Between Jenna, Emilia, Natasha, Clint, and Liz Forbes, they're set with potential guardians. Just in case.
Who could possibly go through 5 guardians before both kids were adults?

It was the first day of school for the kids and Emilia had woken up long after the other occupants left, but it wasn't by choice. Fury had apparently decided she needed to be up and at the base before 5 pm.

She already knew it was going to be a long night as she crawled out of bed and went to the bathroom to get ready.
By the time she was done, it was noon. Emilia placed her uniform and needed utilities in her bag before heading downstairs.

Just as she was filling her bottle with water, Jenna came in through the back door. "Work?" She questioned, noting Emilia's choice of athletic attire.

"Unfortunately, yeah. Not sure when I'll be back, but I'll be coming when I can." Emilia responded as she screwed the lid on her bottle.
"Okay. . . Be safe, Em."
"Safe is my middle name."

Emilia approached the doors of S.H.I.E.L.D. scanning her ID to get inside. The bag was slung over her shoulder and the water bottle was placed in an external mesh pocket, while a free hand carried a coffee.

Agents of lower clearance milled around getting their work done, with some of higher mixed in getting information. Even the receptionists were busy. "Afternoon Kelly, how are the kids?" Emilia asked in passing.
"They're good! Jess lost her first tooth last night and the tooth fairy visited."

"Sick! Tell Jess and Gina that I said hi. Don't work yourself too hard!"
"Have a good day, Emilia!"
"Gonna try!" She called back with a chuckle, raising her coffee in the air.

Reaching the elevator that would take her up several floors, Emilia soon felt presence on both sides.
"You know what Fury wants?" She questioned as the doors opened and several other agents stepped out, the three getting an elevator to themselves.

"Fury just said he wants us here, assuming it's another mission." Natasha responded, pressing the button that would take them up to the floor where Fury's office resided.

It was a short walk down the hall before they came face to face with Fury in his office. "Let's make this quick. Barton, you and Romanoff are tasked with securing Dr. Banner's belongings and ensuring their safe travels."

"What about me?" Emilia asked in a confused tone. She knew she hadn't heard him wrong when he told her to come in.
"You're sitting this one out Agent Parker. I feel this mission is too personal for you and so I found one for you to go on." Fury responded.

"Personal? I only knew him as—" Fury interrupted her to dismiss Nat and Clint. They reluctantly left Emilia alone with him.

"I know how you knew him, but it goes deeper than you think Miss Parker. . . I did some long overdue digging regarding your family and I've found some things out. . . Including who your father is and how you're like your mother."

"How? When was this?" Emilia questioned crossing her arms.
"We've had your DNA in our possession for the last twenty-two years, courtesy of your mother."

Emilia stood straighter. "How did you know my mom?"

"She was an agent, one of the best of her time. . . In fact she was so good that she purposely made it hard to find any information on who your father could be. He is why you're on a separate mission, Miss Parker."

As if it clicked in her mind, Emilia uncrossed her arms and let out a breath which turned to near maniacal laughter.

"You're telling me that my dad, who is now the Hulk, was also my biology teacher for a year and a half and none of this even came up? Does he even know about me being his daughter?"

"No, and he won't know until it's the right time. . . Now you have an answer to an old question. . . Now for the mission, you're going undercover in a bar in New York. You're being brought in to find out what's going on there. Are you up for it?"

"I— yes sir, I am."

Well, this was a rather anticlimactic way to reveal that Bruce is Emilia's biological father

Well, this was a rather anticlimactic way to reveal that Bruce is Emilia's biological father.

Figured after like 37 actual chapters that it was time to stop teasing with the father card.

Fortunately, the book is nowhere near complete.
Unfortunately, I'm the one who has to write it, since it won't write itself.

I'm suspecting like maybe 100 additional chapters depending on how I have the storyline go.

Apologies for all of the timeskips like every single chapter, they're a lifesaver when I don't know how to continue.
