Almost two months had pasted after their first meeting with a dementor and Lyra started to feel normal again.
Her first meal at Hogwarts was a torture though, she was so hungry but was unable to eat anything at all. Her stomach would cramp together when she tried to slick some food down her throat.Harry and Hermione came a bit later to the table, McGonagall called them for a private conversation one on one. Harry returned as first explaining that it was about him fainting on the train. He assured that there is nothing to worry about.
Hermione on the other hand returned just at the end of the sorting ceremony. She was wearing a happy smile and didn't want to talk much about what they discussed, so Lyra didn't push.
The day after classes started and Lyra had to reschedule her whole sleep schedule, from not sleeping all night to actually getting the night sleep and waking up in the morning.
Days and weeks went by and it was time for their first visit to Hogsmeade, unfortunately Harry and Lyra couldn't go because their parents, well are dead and guardians are too shitty to let them enjoy their weekends and have fun. They both tried to go to McGonagall for it and explain that their guardians just, quote 'were not in state to sign it but would like them to go'. From Harry she would want to consider it if not the fact that there was a murderer running free trying to find him and kill him.
But from Lyra's side she immediately said no, Draco's and Cassandra's forms were signed which meant that the guardians were actually in state to sign it but just didn't want to sign hers.
So there they stood, next to the beautiful fountain, seeing their two other friends march their way down to the small village not far away from the castle.
Harry and Lyra didn't want to waste time on being sad about not going, they had each other and wanted to spend that time at the best. So they spend the first three hours next to the fireplace in the Gryffindor common room making their homework and studying. After those three hours their stomachs let them know that it's time for a refill, so the headed for lunch to the Great Hall, which was a lot emptier because of almost everyone leaving for Hogsmeade. After they ate enough they returned to the tower, planning on continuing their work. But instead of that they talked and enjoyed their time with each other.
Lyra couldn't stop smiling the whole day, being with him alone made her feel so happy. That feeling was emphasised mostly because the castle was empty except the first and second years. The two friends decided to not waste time in the tower and went on a walk through the castle, they walked, walked and walked.
It started to get darker outside and people started coming back from Hogsmeade. To run away from them they decided to climb the Astrology tower, even though it was forbidden to go all the way to the top. They walked at least 200 stairs up before settling in a window near the top of the tower. They sat with their backs against the walls and looked each other in the eyes and talked for what seemed hours.
They both went silent and looked outside the window, taking in the forest and Hagrids little house.
"Harry..." Lyra started, he looked at her with warmth in his eyes. " I'm really so happy to have you" she said not looking him in the eyes. It was hard for the girl to express her feelings, even though she could read then so well. Her heartbeat always started to raise when something happened to Harry, as if she herself was dying, it made her weak and she didn't like that.
"I'm glad I have you too Lyra" the boy answered after a second trying to catch her eyes. The sky turned from dark blue to almost pitch black, which meant that it was almost time for dinner, but they weren't hungry, at least not for food. Lyra looked up at him and smiled wider taking in his face. He was so kind to her and so lovely.
Lyra looked to her right when she heard a thud against the window, it was a rain droplet. After that one came another and another, forming a weather occur called rain. The girl love rain. It meant a new beginning, it washed away the old pain, the best part about rain was the smell after. Some people thought it was weird but it was her favourite smell in the world. It rained harder and harder and the girl's smiled only widened. The boy sat there and watched her, he admired her being happy; which she wasn't a lot.
He loved it when she was smiling or expressing emotions overall. He learned that it was hard for her, but he helped her to feel confident with sharing feelings. Hoping one day she would share her love for him."You look beautiful" the boy whispered without thinking about what he said.
"What did you say?" The girl didn't hear him because of the rain slamming against the window.
" oh Euhm nothing" he tried to cover himself up.
He accidentally look at her lips and stayed looking at them for what he noticed too long. She noticed it and moved a little closer to him. He moved at the same time closer to her so that there was no more that 5cm between their lips. She closed her eyes and whispered
"Is this the moment we are supposed to kiss"
He answered "Yeah I think so" before she touched his lips with hers. He enjoyed the soft touch of her lips. They both enjoyed it and could do it for hours or even days, but they pulled away after roughly 30 seconds. They both looked each other in the eyes and smiled, showing their teeth.
"It's getting really late, we should get going before Hermione calls a searching mission for us" Harry said with a still wide smile on his face while standing up. Lyra agreed with him and grabbed his hand, that he pulled out to her to help her stand up.
"What a gentleman that you are Potter" she commented and the boy let out a small laugh.
"Everything for miss Black" he bowed a little.
They were walking down the halls to the Great Hall for diner when Lyra said "It would be fun tho".
"What?"
"Having people search for us through the castle. Like playing a big game or hide and seek"
The boy chuckled "You can go out after curfew and you will have a big game of hide and seek with Filtch if you want"
Lyra looked at him and rolled her eyes
" That's not what I mean. Imagine doing it in like groups of couple people and having like a big game. That would be so good" she waved her hand as if she was presenting something in the air and looked at that spot with amaze."Yeah yeah. That would be nice" answered he boy just when they walked into the Great Hall. They walked up to the Gryffindor table and everyone was staring. Lyra began feeling kinda uncomfortable, but just when she was about to sit down on the opposite side of Hermione, she noticed she was still holding hands with Harry.
She quickly let go and brushed her hand against her clothes. Harry looked at her while she was doing so and felt a bit sad that that was her reaction of people seeing them holding hands. He quickly sat down next to her and included himself in the conversation their friends were having.
After dinner everyone went to their dorms and prepared for sleep. The boy laid down in his bed and tought about those forty seconds when his and Lyra's lips where brushing against each other. Her sweet sweet lips. She was so sweet and precious to him. She was heaven, that he hoped to land in and rest in. Her everything was perfect for him. He wished to hold her tight and never let go, to make sure she was save. No one could hurt or touch her.
