I don't have much work to do at work apart from booking Marshall to more venues for his Up In Smoke tour which was basically it for my day. Right after work I have to visit Cole to tell him the good news and have a dinner date with Nancy and Phillip to celebrate their engagement and my promotion although I wouldn't feel comfortable celebrating my promotion when they just got engaged. I want tonight to be about them because it's a huge milestone in their relationship.

Derek who's Nancy's baby daddy abandoned her and the kids right after Candice was born which was really shitty for him to do because their kids are such wonderful people. Nancy told me how much it hurt her the day he packed up his clothes and left because he said he couldn't deal with the family life anymore, he mentioned he tried to deal with it but it was too much pressure on him so Nancy became a single mom for many years til she met Phillip. Phillip loves those kids like his own. He even has a child of his own, her name is Laila and she is only 7 years old. I haven't met her yet but Nancy describes her as this adorable energetic little thing, she absolutely adores her.

"That's all you have to do Amanda" Dre smiles at me "This should be easy" I nod "I do need to talk to you after everyone else has left" Dre mentions "Sure, what about?" I ask him "About Tom Miller" Dre says seriously "Alright" I nod and walk back to the common room where I see Nancy sitting using her phone "I'm in so much trouble" I groan as I sit down opposite her "Oh no what happened?" Nancy asks me as she puts her phone away in her purse "I'm pretty sure Dre knows what I did in Toms office" I sigh "You really shouldn't have done that" Nancy shakes her head "I get that but I needed the promotion and I needed to get Marshall booked at his venue, he was so hard to deal with" I look down at the white table

"I understand, I do, but you should have gotten help from either Deshaun or Dre" I look back up at her "Even if I did, wouldn't be much of a chance that Marshall would have gotten booked anyway, Shanice told me it was impossible to deal with someone like Tom Miller" I explain "Dre and Deshaun are good negotiators, they would have come up a way to get him booked," She tells me

"This was part of my job, I didn't need anyone to do my job for me and I still don't" I'm stubborn "You're so stubborn" She laughs "It's not stubbornness it's wanting to be responsible" I smirk at her "There is nothing wrong with asking for help every once in a while" I roll my eyes at her "I have to get home" Nancy gets up and throws her purse over her shoulder "Let me know how the conversation goes" She gives me a quick hug and leaves.

I walk inside Dre's office and kinda smile at him when I see him rummage through the draws "Please sit" Dre points at the chair and I sit down "Deshaun told me what you did to get that booking" Dre gets straight to the point "I understand that it was wrong of me to have done it but I needed to get the job done" I explain to Dre "You should have spoken to me" Dre shakes his head "Getting Em booked to venues is part of my job, I didn't think I needed any help and even when I did that in his office I still didn't think I needed help" I tell him "It was inappropriate Amanda and I understand it's part of your job but I still think you should have walked out of there and contacted me" Dre crosses his arms "I handled it perfectly fine and it doesn't even matter anymore because I got him booked" I cross my arms

"Am I giving you too many responsibilities?" I didn't expect this question at all "Because if I am I'm sorry I just thought you were capable of handling this" Dre sits down opposite me at his desk "I am capable of doing this, I did my job fine up until that point" I sound offended "The music biz is not a cup of tea, I'm sure Deshaun explained that females have to do certain stuff for a job that they won't be proud of" Dre says "He did so what's the difference?" I ask him "The difference is some of my employees who are women asked for help when shit got too far and I always help them, I take care of my employees who are women Amanda, I don't want any one of them to feel violated over a job that I can easily sort out for them" I look down when he said that "I'm sorry, won't happen again I promise" I say "You better keep that promise because if I find out you did something inappropriate for your job I'm gonna have to fire you because you couldn't put your trust in me" I nod
