At the restaurant celebrating Nancy and Phillips engagement and my promotion, I'm wearing a wrap-front dusky mini dress paired with strappy light beige stilettos and have my hair half up curled, I'm only wearing light makeup since I don't want to go overboard with makeup. I have never been the type to wear makeup only for special occasions, for example, this special occasion. I'm celebrating with my friends and boyfriend, and I could not be anymore happier.

I stand up with the glass of red wine in my right hand and smile at Nancy and Phillip, I clear my throat "I want to make a toast to the soon-to-be-husband and wife" Cole, Nancy and Phillip are now waiting for my toast with bright smiles on their faces "I have known Nancy for years, she has helped me through the deepest hell I was in with my sister and took us both in as her own family. She was there for me when I needed it and honestly I don't know how I'm ever gonna express my gratitude towards all the stuff you have done for me" I smile at Nancy and now she looks like she is starting to tear up

"I remember when she opened up to me about Derek leaving her with two kids to raise, I remember just how heart broken she was, she really did love him but he was a jerk and left her, he has no idea how awesome Nancy is as a mother to those two wonderful kids and how loving she would be as a wife" I smile "Phillip, I know you'll be a fantastic husband to Nancy, Nancy alwasy brags about you to me saying just how wonderful you are, how well you care for her kids and just how unbelievably happy you make her and I believe her because you seem like an amazing person, kind hearted" I raise my glass up as Phillip smiles at me with bright eyes and mouths 'thank you' to me "Congratsulations on your engagment and may your life be filled with love and laughter" Cole, Phillip and Nancy both raise their glasses "That was a beautiful toast Amanda" Nancy smiles at me as I sit back down and take a sip of my red wine "I agree, you had Nancy welling up" Phillip smiles at me "Nancy has always been a crybaby" I giggle "True dat" Phillip laughs

"I'm not a crybaby" Nancy says jokingly offended "Sure you are, you cried watching Me, Myself, and Irene when Jim Carrey was beating the crap out of the cow" Phillip laughs "It was sad for me because Jim wanted to kill the cow" Nancy shakes her head "Get use to my emotional rollercoaster especially on my cycle" Nancy laughs "She tried to kill me once when I didn't buy her box of chocolates and roses because I had just gotten back from work" Phillip laughs "Same thing Amanda did to me, I visited her with chocolates and Roses and she threw the bouquet at my face because there weren't her favorite's" Cole laughs "And then she ate the chocolates in front of me then when I tried to reach for one she was like "If you try that again your hand is going down your throat"" Cole laughs, I go red "Oh my god" I cover my face "Amanda, we should have killed them when we had the chance to" Nancy laughs "Yes we should have" I laugh "Now why would you kill the guys that love you both to death?" Cole asks with a smirk "Because you both are annoying" Nancy says laughing

"Also I would like to make a toast for Amanda for earning that promotion" Nancy says as she gets up "Girl, you earned that promotion even though you have to work for your ex fuck" Nancy bites her bottom lip when she realizes what she had just said and my eyes widen "Ex?" Cole asks me "I'll explain later" I whisper to him and he nods "Anyway" Nancy clears her throat "I remember when you had your interview with me, you were a nervous wreck and stuttered a little bit during our talk, and now look at you; a booking agent, more confident than you ever were" Nancy smiles at me "I knew I was right for believing in you, you truly are the best at what you do and I'm so glad Dre saw it, you deserved it" I smile at her and feel myself welling up "I love you, Amanda" Nancy giggles "I love you too, Nancy" I giggle. Nancy takes a sip of her wine and sits down on her chair.

The rest of the dinner goes by amazing, we all talked, shared memories, and laugh but Cole wasn't very engaging with the conversations nor did he have a genuine smile and laugh, he also barely spoke to me and when he would respond to what I'm saying, he would say either "Mmh", "Yeah" and "Okay" I have to talk to him but tonight I'm exhausted and as soon as I get to my place I'm going to sleep. Cole leans in against me and whispers in my ear "We need to talk" He sounds serious "Let's talk tomorrow after I'm done with work, I'm exhausted" I whisper back to him "Alright" Cole nods and pulls back. We all leave the restaurant and say our byes before heading our separate ways.
