Amanda's POV:
I have the whole two days planned for Cole and I. Today is Thursday, tomorrow he is flying back to LA at 11pm which is perfect because I'll have more time with him. It's gonna be hard saying bye to him but I'll see him again on Sunday when I'm finally back home, I took the Monday off from work since I'll be pretty jet-lagged and exhausted, I will be having a lazy day and eating a large margarita pizza with Kristy because if I don't share my pizza with her she'll buy my favorite cake and eat it right in front of me... yah.
I wake up extra early to make breakfast for Cole and I and then we will be going around Detroit, I will be showing him my old home, school, make a small visit to Shanice's place and hopefully hang out with Aunt Edna for a bit if she still lives in that house. I make my way to the kitchen after getting dressed and doing my morning routine. I make us four chocolate chip waffles two each because Cole loves waffles and I want to treat him to his favorite dessert, he deserves it.
I hear footsteps heading towards the kitchen as I set up the dining table, I feel a pair of arms wrap around my waist and snuggle into the crook of my neck "Good morning baby" I giggle as I feel him plant a soft kiss on my neck "Good morning" He sounds groggy "How did you sleep?" I turn around and place both my hands around his neck "I wouldn't say 'sleep' I would say 'food coma', my food coma was so comfortable" I laugh "How was your food coma?" Cole asks me as he kisses the tip of my nose "The best" I giggle "I made your favorite breakfast" I let go from his neck and smile at him "Waffles?" Cole asks me "Yes" I serve the waffles and we begin to eat.
........
Our first destination is my old house in Dresden, I walk over to the house and suddenly get hit by memories that I fought hard to forget "This was where I lived as a kid until I moved in with my mom and Brian after my dad was arrested" I walk towards the patio and stop at the steps "This place looks-" I cut him off "Like shit, I know" I chuckle "I was gonna say it looks cozy" It looks very different, no wonder why he would say it looks cozy.
When I had lived in this house the rooftop was slightly cracked, bricks were scratched, windows were a little dirty, the door was also scratched up, it was a brown wooden door. Now the house looks different, clean windows, the exterior of the house is painted white, the door is painted a light silver with gold numbers on it, the rooftop is fixed very well and the patio is fixed, I remember it creaked when I walked. At the time if my home looked like this I wouldn't have minded living here, it really does look cozy
"A lot of memories in this house, bad ones and some good ones" I look at Cole who has his eyes fixated on my home "Your dad was a jerk" Cole looks at me and smiles "Yeah at least I never heard from him again" I smile at him "Lets go" I begin to walk with Cole away from my house, just a few steps away from the house I feel like I'm being watched, I turn my head around to see the drapes quickly shut by male looking hands "What's wrong?" Cole asks me as I now turn to look at him "Nothing, don't worry" I give him a nervous smile.
We walk to Edna's house "This is my aunt Edna's house, she was the most caring person I have ever met" I tell Cole "She looked after me and Kristy like we were her own, I'm gonna see if she still lives here" I walk up the steps to her patio and knock on the door. I hear light footsteps grow closer and closer to the door, the door swings open and this little girl with long brown hair and blue eyes looks up at me "Who are you?" She asks me in her baby voice "I'm looking for-" I get cut off by her mom walking towards her "Baby what did I say about opening the door to strangers?" She says nervously "Sorry mommy" The little girl walks away "I'm sorry about my daughter" This lady has blue eyes and blonde hair, she is really pretty, she has her hair tied up in a bun and has an apron around her waist with flour all over it. She looks to be in her mid 30's "How can I help?" She asks me with a smile
"I'm looking for this old woman named Edna, she used to live here" I tell her "Edna" She pauses for a second to think "Ahhh Aunt Edna, yeah she doesn't live here anymore" She tells me "Do you happen to know where she lives?" I ask her hopefully "I'm sorry I don't, I never knew her, I just know she went by Aunt Edna" She says "Oh... um...I'm sorry for bothering you, have a good day" I smile at her, I wonder if Marshall may know where she lives "You too" She closes the door and I walk back to Cole "So?" He asks me "She doesn't know where she lives and apparently she has never known her" I sigh "I'm sorry baby" Cole gives me a hug "Maybe Marshall might know" I smile at Cole "Marshall? Why would he know?" Cole asks me confused "Because Marshall is close with Edna, she basically raised him" I explain to him "I'll text him later, he could be busy now" I nod.
...............
We had a long day of touring around Detroit and visiting Shanice, now we are at home chilling out on the sofa watching a movie, cuddling "I can't believe I forgot to tell you but D12 invited me out tonight" Cole says "Out? Where?" I ask him confused "I don't know, they just said they'll show me 'Detroit Life'" Cole smiles "You really enjoyed yourself with them, didn't you?" I give him a heartwarming smile "They're cool guys, even Em ain't so bad to hang out with" I nod, I can't believe he said Marshall isn't so bad to hangout with when Marshall is a fucking nightmare but I appreciate him being good to Cole even though he doesn't like him
"I have to go" Cole jumps up from the sofa "Where are you meeting them?" I ask him as I follow suit "At the studio" Cole smiles at me "You know how to get there?" I ask him "Of course, I have a good memory" Cole gives me a kiss on the lips "I'll see you later" Cole leaves my apartment and heads out. I hope he has a good time with the boys.
A few hours later I get a message from Marshall with an attached picture. I open the message and it reads "You're perfect boyfriend ;)" I check the picture and its of Cole getting a lap dance from a stripper, I call Marshall up "Yooooooo" Marshall slurs "You took him to a fucking strip club" I yell "Baby, what you think 'Detroit Life' meant" Marshall laughs "I don't care you shouldn't have taken him to those kind of places when you know he is in a relationship" I yell "He was enjoying himself" Marshall laughs "I can't believe this, just when I thought you were capable of being civil and decent you go ahead and do something like this" I say in disbelief "Yo, don't be mad at me, it's your bitch of a boyfriend who enjoyed the lap dance" Marshall yells "You'll pay for this" I warn him and Cole will as well "Amanda" I cut him off "Go fuck yourself" I hang up the phone.
I shoot a message at Shanice "Do you have Kims number?" I ask her "Yeah, here" Shanice messages me Kims number "Thanks" I call Kim up and she picks up after three rings "Hey?" Kim sounds confused "You remember me?" I ask her "Should I?" Kim asks confused "It's Amanda" I introduce myself "Wow, I haven't heard from you in years, what's up?" Kim asks me "Your sorry excuse of a husband took Cole my boyfriend to a strip club" I'm clearly pissed "Wait? HE WENT TO A FUCKING STRIP CLUB?" Kim yells "Yes" I nod "That son of a bitch told me he was gonna work in the studio, ooohh I'm so gonna kill him" Kim bites "I want them both to pay, you in?" I ask her with a smirk "You betcha your ass I'm in, what's the plan?" Kim asks me and I tell her the plan "Ooooo, you're a bad bitch, I love it" I can sense Kim is smirking "Thanks, see ya tomorrow" I smile "See ya" We both hang up. Marshall and Cole are not ready for this.
