REVELATIONS FROM THE PAST

Dominic Toledo and his infamous 5 are a much sought after gang in Mexico, involved in various armed robberies and heists. But this time, they have shown their finesse in the intellectual field as well. Let me reveal a secret to you all. The cyber threat posed to Museo Soumaya was not by Ray here. It was them. You might probably say that i knew this already, but can you possibly think why he posed as Ray to carry out the crime? Simple enough, this story has a back story as well.

As some of you careful and regular readers might remember, there was a diamond heist carried out by Ray in Cuba whose details weren’t clear. Yeah, that’s where it all began. Dominic and Ray were partners. They had been carrying out petty thieveries all along. But now, they got a big project. And they were being paid for it. Ricky Castro was a drug dealer and had appointed them to get him the ‘diamonds’. Now, what possibly a drug dealer get out of diamonds? That’s because these are a type of cigars highly in demand back in the U.S. and since the ‘el bloqueo’ of 1960s, the trade of any Cuban product has been banned. So, smugglers get easy money out of cigars. And Rosario Vasquez was going to ship a big deal of cigars to Mexico. What else, their job was to get along with Rosario and steal the shipment, which they did successfully. But trust...that’s the poison when working with thieves. To establish himself in the arena, Ray ran away with the cigars and sold him to some other dealers, leaving Dominic at the mercy of Ricky. Somehow, Dominic got away and established his own team.

And after 10 long years, when he finally knew Ray had returned to Mexico, he wanted to plant him somehow and get him caught. He’d been keeping a close eye on his events, and at the first chance he got, he carried out the feat. D-“years and years of waiting. Revenge shall finally be mine. Oh sweet-sweet revenge! I may not earn anything out of this, but satisfaction of getting your worst enemy out of your way, is heavenly!” V-“Sir, there is a call for you.” D-“Police?” V-“Doesn’t seem like that, strange location.” Dominic smiled as he took the call. D-“Got the news eh?” R-“I did. Great job. Seems like you’ve been waiting for this and grabbed the first opportunity. Loved it. But, do you really think that you can get me caught? Fool! And because you want me to stay for some more time in Mexico, I’ll play a game with you. As you have posed a challenge for me, blocking my path in my latest job, I challenge you to do the job before me, or try to steal the deal from me. If you do so, I’ll straight away turn myself in to the police and any chances of you being caught will be culminated, if not...” D-“What’s the job?”
