PURSUIT

It had been 3 weeks since Maria's death. With Tomo Milecevic behind the bars and Victor Milecevic taking no interest in the robbery, the case was practically closed and Jared had no reason to work on it. But the fact that he knew who murdered his girlfriend, gnawed at him. Worse, he couldn't catch Ray, let alone prove her guilt.
C-"You look tired. I believe you are not involved in any case right now, are you?" J-"No, that's not the point." C-"Then, about Maria?" J-"Not exactly either. She's dead and I need to live with that Crawley." C-"Then?" J-"The point that I know who the murderer is and that she is out of my reach." C-"You mean, it was not an accident?" An inconvenient nod. C-"How can you be so sure?" J-"Cause Ray called me and confessed." C-"And as you've told me, she is the robber in Milicevic case. But why would she confess. I mean, why would she try to reveal her location to you?" J-"I don't know. Rather I never thought about it. I was just so disheartened by Maria's death that I didn't notice that. And that means I must not stop her pursuit. She will commit some mistake, leading me to her."
