Day one wasn't a bad start. You got your chores done early, made breakfast, went shopping and you even managed to visit Kate.
"This is a much better scene," Kate hummed bringing a pastel tea cup up to her lips. She was right. The two of you sat gracefully on a yellow blanket with a picnic basket between you. It was filled with candies and cakes along with finger sandwiches, salad and fruit.
The colors of your dream escape were so vivid, similar to a psychedelic Wonderland. Cute bunnies bounced around the perfectly manicured grass.
Tall red mushrooms sprouted out under a gorgeous tall willow tree. Yellow, pink and blue flowers littered the landscape. Kate had plucked a yellow flower and placed it behind your ear.
"So what's been going on with the Winter Solider?" She started conversation as she ate elegantly. Her posture was poised and her long hair happily went along with the breeze.
"There was an emergency yesterday, he had to leave in such a hurry." You told her.
"Awe are you worried?" She pouted at you playfully.
"No I'm not worried.." You scoffed, shoving a piece of pink and white frosted cake into your mouth.
"So do you like have a thing for humans?" She continued.
"What are you talking about?" You deadpanned.
"I mean I don't blame you, I did a quick google search and your solider is a cutie." She added, avoiding you question as you did hers.
"I suppose he's handsome," you mumbled.
"You suppose?" She laughed.
"Yes I do," you responded. A loud bleat rung out behind you.
"Where the hell did the goat come from?" She peered behind you. You turned around and there was a cream colored goat munching on a giant ceramic tea cup.
"Awe she's adorable!" You chimed. You stood up to embrace the fluffy animal, "I'm going to name you Raini," you told to the goat. She bleated dryly in response.
"Uh Y/n, I've got to go." Kate informed you, checking her wrist watch.
"Oh ok, I love you." You reminded her.
"Love you too," she smiled before fading into the Wonderland. The Wonderland fell apart in pixels and with that your eyes snapped open.
"Lunchtime." You spoke to the silence with a bland tone.

There it was, staring you in the face. It was the phone Bucky had gifted you. You never took it out of the box but you were bored so you figured it was the time.
You carefully pulled back the plastic film reveal a white box with the image of a lilac phone. After you pulled off the box lid you stared at the black glass screen.
You tapped it and lit up a bright white earning a startled noise from you. "Hello" written in a bold black font
The "Hello" transitioned into several different languages until you tapped the screen once more.
"Welcome to your Stark Industries Phone!" An electronic voice chimed from the phone.
"What the hell?" You scooped up the phone and held it up to your ear. The message repeated itself which caused the phone to go flying. Purple mist swirled around the device allowed it to float just centimeters from the ground.
"Oh my gods," you exhaled and picked it up. The purple faded and your fingers darkened. They had been gradually turning grey since you used the Darkhold. Tony was able to help counteract it but you hadn't seen him in a year.
A light grey formed on the tips of your fingers darkening your unpainted nails.
"Ok you've got this, Y/n." You assured yourself. You clicked on of the buttons on the side and phone lit up once more. You clicked the screen and message played again but this time you weren't startled.
Under the time was a message in small white text that read "Slide up to unlock." You complied and the phone revealed a color background with a few square icons.
There was a green box with a white chat bubble and above it was a red circle with a number one inside. You tapped that to reveal on unread message from a random 10 digits.

Underneath of the number was a message that wrote "Save this number?" You clicked it curiously and it requested a name. You filled it in with the Winter Solider's name and clicked save.
"That is enough for today," you told yourself and pressed a button which turned the device's screen black. You placed it gently in your back pocket and plopped down onto your bed.
