"We can bring her back, can't we? Just a snap." Bruce said.
"No, she's not coming back from this." Clint said quietly.
"It can't be." Steven shakes his head firmly.
"It was supposed to be me," Clint sighed.
The mission was starting to hit you. What if this snap goes side ways? What if it doesn't work? Your mind raced, what if you didn't get Bucky back?
"Let me do the snap," you said. You needed to ensure he would be brought back. That it would be done right.
"You can't." Thor said plainly.
"You'll disintegrate," Bruce informed you, placing his hand on your shoulder.
"No offense but what if one of you messes up?" You began to panic. It was getting harder to breathe.
"Y/n, it will be ok. Trust us," Bruce assured you.
"Besides, we need you in Wakanda to help facilitate the return of half their population," Tony informed you.

You took the Quinjet to Wakanda on your own, along with a back up communication device in case things went south at the compound. In the seat next to you was Bucky's rifle along with debriefing packets for each expected return.
The debrief packets included information about each returnee in case their memory was lost along with a summary of the past five years. You landed the jet swiftly after making it through Wakanda's security system. You were instructed to make your way to the woods where there was a concentrated amount of dustings.
As you stood and waited, Wakandan soldiers unloaded weaponry around you while the Queen waited for her children's return.
"Y/n, is everything ready over there?" Steve spoke through your earpiece. You tapped it and replied.
"Just about." You told him. You scanned your surroundings once more. It amazed you how things had come together. You wondered if this was the possibility Strange had told Tony about.
A few sorcerers were lined up, prepared to craft portals on Strange's command. If Stephen did come back that is.
"So this was the wizard's plan?" You asked them. They shrugged.
"Nobody knows, or else it won't happen." An older man replied. You nodded, that made sense.
The sun grew brighter and a ringing struck your ears. You squinted hard and clutched the rifle and thick packets of paper. Suddenly, the ringing went away and the sun returned to its normal brightness. Was that it? You looked around, gripping the weapon in your hand so hard your knuckles were ghostly white.
Dusted began surrounding the forrest. Wanda was the first one to come back, her red hair first and then her grief struck face. More dust appeared as more fallen soldiers returned.
You had your back towards where Bucky had faded. You did this on purpose, you couldn't stand to be disappointed if he hadn't returned.
"Y/n?" There it was. It was a voice that you struggled to remember. It was his voice. You dropped the gun and turned around. He hadn't aged a day. You wrapped your arms around his waist, and he wrapped his around yours. You cried into his shirt.
"I love you too, Buck. I am so sorry." You sobbed.
"What happened? Are you ok?" He asked, he was confused.
"You were gone for so long," you told him
"Well I'm back. I promise." He whispered and kissed the top of your head.

"Welcome back, losers. I know you're probably all confused and a little discombobulated but we have a fight," you announced to the group of returnees while passing out the debriefing packets.
"So..we just disappeared for five years," Wanda asked, scanning her packet.
"That's really the only explanation we have for it," you told her. The Queen of Wakanda handed out weaponry and armor to everyone.
You were prepared for the fight to come. You made it your mission to protect Bucky at all costs, you refused to lose him again.
"Hey," Bucky sat down next to you as you sharpened a dagger.
"Hi," you smiled.
"You missed me?" He teased, wrapping his arm around you.
"Like you can't even imagine." You told him honestly.
"Whats the plan for when we win?" He asked. You've thought about this since Scott showed up at the compound. He gave you hope.
"We can disappear to a quiet town, live out the rest of our days under cover." Part of this was true. Another part of you wanted to execute the plan you had made with Kate years ago.
"You know that's going to be hard," he told you, skeptically.
"But I'm willing to try," you replied. This was the truth. You were willing to do anything for your freedom, for a life of your own.
"Get ready, we go anytime now!" A sorcerer yelled as he began to strike up a portal.
