Now that I think about it, I noticed that Nadia and Ms. Marsha has something in common when it comes to their death.
Pareho silang natagpuang napalilibutan ng tubig. Nadia was floating on a river, and Ms. Marsha was bloody dead in her tub.
Does that mean something? Was someone—the person behind all of this, trying to hide something in the water? Was he trying to dissolve an evidence? Kung gano'n, anong bagay ang maaaring maglaho kapag nabasa ito ng tubig?
I snap back into reality when a clicking of two fingers appeared in front of my face.
"What are you thinking?" Aki asks.
I stare at him and assess his face. He's now wearing a white shirt and shorts above his knees because he still can't wear jeans due to his wound. May bendahe ang kaliwang tuhod nito at namumula naman ang kaniyang kanan. Distinct from other guys who are masculine in terms of their physical appearance, Aki's features are not that hairy. His skin is so smooth, actually.
"Why are you staring at me like as if you want to lick my knee?" he asks, and I almost choke.
"Bitch," saad ko saka napaismid. "I have a question."
"I don't use any lotion. That's just how my skin looks naturally."
"Not about that." I find his eyes. "If you would commit a murder, and you want to hide something, like an evidence, how would you dispose the body of your victim?"
His brows knit. "Why would you ask that? That's so random of you."
"Just answer it."
He locks his eyes at me first before he proceeds to think. "Hmm, let's see. How would I be able to get rid of an evidence that could lead the police to my tracks? Probably with the help of fire."
"Y-you're gonna burn the body?" I blink, a bit shocked in his response.
He nods casually. "Yeah. In that way, mahihirapan silang maghanap ng ebidensya. And worst, they wouldn't be able to find the body at all."
"That's disgusting."
"You're the one who asked for it." he pokes the cheesecake on his plate and munch it down in his mouth. I watch as his adam's apple goes up and down as he swallowed the food. After sipping from his water, he glances at me again. "What exactly is the reason why you asked that?"
I sigh. I guess I have to tell him everything now, especially because the last time I hid something from him, it just put me in a massive danger, and he was the one who saved me from Satan.
