IT WAS THE WEEKEND AND IT SEEMED EILEEN WOULD SPEND it surprisingly with her parents. They decided to take the week off from their jobs and spend it together with their daughter. This confused Eileen when she heard the news and instead of being happy the girl was anxious. She was in her room all morning ,but she knew she couldn't stay there forever. A knock in her door made her get up from her bed.

"Eiliana, wake up. Your father and I must speak with you." The demanding voice of her mother made her heart drop. This time she was more anxious than she already was. Hurriedly, she put on her black sweatpants and a plain white sweatshirt and some gray socks. Rushing down the stairs she saw her father sitting on the living room couch with a mug on his other hand.

Her father's gaze looked up to see his daughter and gave her a smile, Eileen, confused by the affection, returned a smile back to him. "Lenah, sweetie, come sit down." Allen Halsaine moved so he could make space for the girl and Eileen's smile brightened , her heart melting by her nickname her dad used to say when she was little. She sat down and he put his arm around the couch kissing her on the forehead.

Ilana Halsaine furrowed her eyebrows at the affection her husband was giving her daughter. She sat down next to Eileen and passed her a bagel immediately the brunette started devouring it. The air was tense for the adults as they never were close to their teenage daughter and made this awkward for them to act like a happy family. Eileen looked back and forth between her father and mother with excitement in her eyes. She was happy.

Ilana took a bite of her bagel and cleared her throat making Allen look up and make eye contact with his wife. She gave him a raised eyebrow and pointed to her daughter with her eyes. "Lenah." Eileen looked up to her father and her heart melted once again at the nickname. The smile she gave him made him grow guilty of knowing he's going to break her hope later.

"Eileen we decided to stay the weekend not only to just spend time together ,but it's because we have brunch to go to tomorrow." Eileen's smile dropped and curiosity took her place as she looked at her mother ,"We need you to behave. To act like a lady and smile at guests. Can you do that?"

Eileen furrowed her eyebrows and Allen could feel her worry and put his hand on her shoulder. Eileen looked at at him and nodded her head ,"Yes."

"You need to socialize with them too, okay. Your mother is going to take you to shop for a dress this afternoon, choose wisely it's your choice." Her father's words ringed in her head and heard she was going to spend time with her mother and father ,but because of an event was enough for her. She didn't care it was because of a brunch she loved that she could be with them.
