GATHERING IN THE GYM FOR MRS.KWAN'S CLASS, There was Eileen walking slowly as people began sitting on the floor. She had no friends so she took a seat next to Marco, but before she sat down she dusted the floor and used her old jacket so she could sit on top of it. She sat criss-cross style and received a small smile from Terri, Eileen gave her an awkward smile in return. Everybody's attention went to Mrs.Kwan she shushed the class and began speaking about the lesson.
"Shhh. All right class, today we're going to start our scene studies. I was pleased that one group is even performing an original scene, written by our budding playwright Marco. So, let us start rehearsing." She raised her arms us motioning the class to get started. She got up and went closer to Marco's side to get together with her group which consisted of Marco, Terri, Terri's boyfriend who Eileen has no clue what's his name, Hazel, Jimmy, and her.
"Okay guys, since I wrote this, I sort of don't feel like directing." Marco explained
"And I don't want to act. So say hello to your new director." Jimmy added, Eileen nodded her head in approval, but received a loud sigh from Terri's boyfriend.
"Well no offence, Jim, but the theatre is in my blood. My mother walked the boards at Stratford for ten years." Terri's boyfriend said cockily, Terri looked back and forth between Jimmy and Rick. Eileen furrowed her eyebrows over the nickname, but dismissed it. She did get taken back by the guy's weird vibe and felt uncomfortable around the room.
"Umm.. then maybe you can stage manage." Jimmy said, Eileen but inside her cheek from saying anything. Rocking back and forth on her heels swinging herself out of nervousness.
"All right, Who knows? I might even teach Jim a few tricks of the trade." The bad hair-styled boy said, giving the boy a lopsided smirk. Eileen choked back from the boy's attitude towards Jimmy. Everybody else also felt the weird vibe coming off the group, Marco looking at Jimmy, and Hazel making eye contact with Eileen both knowing the weird tension.
"Casting. Marco will play Ray, Hazel will play Nurse Meg, Eileen will play Nicole, and our female lead will be played by Terri MacGregor." Jimmy said moving on from Rick and Terri smiled brightly at his casting.
"Me? Really?" Terri went to hug Jimmy and Eileen smiled at the girl's excitement. She didn't fail to notice how Terri's boyfriend looked away from them. Marco and her moved to the side to hand her the script and she complimented his play which he thanked her. She peeked from the corner of her eye at the couple (Terri and Dick) discussing the play and hugging.
