"SOMEONE TELL ME I'M HALLUCINATING."
Spinner, Paige, Stacy, Marco and Alex were standing in the front of the school's stairs looking at Rick who was talking with the Principal and his mom. Emma walked down the stairs to see what the stares were about. "Who is he?" She asked them, Stacy's jaw was clenched at the sight of the boy.
"Remember our friend Terri McGregor? The girl who was in a coma last year." Spinner was the first one to speak as they all glared at Rick shaking hands with Mr.Raditch.
"He's the psycho that put her there. His name's Rick, her ex. He used to beat her." Paige said, finishing off Spinner's statement.
"Yeah and he's your new classmate Emma. He starts tenth grade tomorrow." Spinner warned Emma, the intense glare Stacy was sending Rick made him make eye contact with her. Shivers ran across her back when he did and she felt disgusted by his presence.
"We have to do something!" Emma rushed down the stairs in front of the group to get a better view of him.
"I know! Let's adopt a dolphin. Treat him to defend us from Rick!" Alex's sarcastic comment towards Emma made Stacy roll her eyes and for Spinner to laugh quietly by it.
"Or we can talk to Mr. Raditch." Emma said
"Sure, me and Marco can handle that without you!" Alex said, walking away inside the school with Marco following behind her. Angrily Stacy also walked away and swung the door open, the loud noise caught attention from the Principal, Rick's mom and others nearby. Rick knowing it was because of his presence avoided eye contact with the rest of the group.
Next day, the group was sitting down near the gym stairs, Jimmy on the right end with Spinner to the left of him, Paige beside Spinner with Stacy the left side of her and Emma the left of her one step above everybody else, and a gap between Emma and Alex. " 'I always knew you were a smart boy Marco' . Can you believe he said that?" Marco mimicked Mr. Raditch's voice, sitting in the gap between Alex and Emma.
"Wow. You guys really handled Raditch." Emma said sarcastically towards Alex and Marco, mostly Alex. Rick e metered the school and saw the group, standing in front of them he greeted the ones he knew.
"Marco. Paige. Spinner. Jimmy... Stace-y." Rick whispered the last part out, Stacy smirked bitterly knowing the boy was trying to use her nickname to get her mad. She ignored his attempt as she just gave him a glare and looked down on her nails. Trying to walk away to his classes, Emma sped towards him to get on his path that she blocked, he moved to leave, but she blocked it again.
