Hey... sorry about tonight. Is everything alright at your end?

I read and reread Ashton's text before deciding to answer it.

No, absolutely not. It's not your fault, though.

I couldn't help but smile when my phone started ringing. Ashton, as expected.

"Hey," I said softly into the phone.

"What's wrong?"

"Harry... Ashton, he broke up with me. And even if we didn't, you know, he would've done it anyway," I sobbed.

"Oh Bella," Ashton said, attempting to comfort me.

"Why does it hurt so much?"

"I don't know."

"He got over it so fast," I said, sniffling. 

"He doesn't know what he's missing. He was a very lucky guy."

"Thanks for being a friend, Ash," I said softly.

There was a moment of silence on the other end. "You're welcome."

"A lot happened today, between us. I'm sorry, Ashton, but I don't think I'm ready," I said honestly.

Silence. Again.

"I mean, I understand everything that you must be going through-"

"Okay," he said, cutting me off.

"Ashton, I'm serious. I get that it might be awkward-"

"I understand, Bella."

Well. "Can I call you tomorrow? Around this time?"

"Sure, Bel. Of course."

"Thanks again. I should probably get to bed," I said, yawning.

"Okay. And Bella? I could get our publicist to cover up the whole situation," Ashton offered.

"Hm... maybe tomorrow. Right now, I just want to sleep." And forget.   

"Good night," Ashton whispered softly.

"Good night." The other line went dead, and I found myself drifting off to sleep.

I had a lot to fix tomorrow, but now, I could just dream on.

Maybe my dreams could become reality.

okay, so im feeling really shitty right now and confused and angry and emotional, so sorry if my updates are... for lack of a better word... blunt. i just wanted to put this out there. maybe one more filler chapter for this story and then we'll get down to the good stuff.

check out evanescent, its a story about luke hemmings and ashton irwin and its something im really proud of, so itd mean the world if you read it and tell me what you think! theres a character in it named audrey monroe, not to be confused with audrey taylor in this story! theyre two completely different characters.
