Chapter 2

*(Y/n)'s pov*

It has been a few weeks since I've been hanging out with Kyouko. She's so different from how I thought she was. She is smart, funny, and responsible sure but she also likes horror movies, has quite the temper, and is quite the housewife type. It was another school day and Kyouko was talking to me about coming over to her house after school again and since I had a stream later tonight I agreed but informed her that I couldn't stay to late. The other students were a bit confused by why me and Kyouko had suddenly become such good friends recently and I noticed that Tooru Ishikawa has been glaring at me a lot when I talk to her. Hmm something is up with him! Wait?! Could he have a crush on Kyouko? I thought to myself as I glanced over at him. "Hey (Y/n)! Are you listening to me?" Kyouko said as she stepped side ways to stand in front of where I was looking. "Yeah, yeah! I'm listening to you Kyouko!" I said nervously trying to avoid getting her angry. She sighed and nodded before we continued talking. 

*A Little While Later*

After our English class we had PE so I started to leave the room but Tooru stopped me. "Hey man. Can I talk to you?" He asked me and I looked at him and shrugged. "Sure." I said and we headed to the roof and went over to the fence that kept people from trying to jump off the roof. I leaned against the fence and crossed my arms looking at him. "This is about Kyouko isn't it?" I asked him and he looked at me surprised. "How'd you guess that?" He asked as he walked over to the fence and stood next to me. "You were always glaring at me when we chatted with each other in class." I replied and he nods. "It's just surprising to see you two become such good friends over night!" He replied and I chuckled softly. "That's because it didn't happen over night. I had encountered her little brother a couple weeks ago and he really likes hanging out with me so I often go over to her house to play with him and Kyouko and I just wound up becoming friends as well." I explained and Tooru nodded but before he could reply I spoke again. "Now let me ask you something! Is the reason you glare at me and wanted to talk to me because you have a crush on her?" I asked him and he looked at me flustered and surprised. "And what if I do?" He replied and I smiled and nodded as I looked at the ground. "Yeah I can't blame you for liking her. She's quite the unique girl!" I said with a slight smile on my face and he looked at me. "You have feelings for her too, don't you?" He asked me and I nodded slightly. "Yeah. I think I do. Though I'm no good for her! If you want to confess to her then go ahead. I have no intentions of telling her!" I said and he looked at me even more surprised then before.

"What!? Why?" He asked me and I took a deep breath and exhaled. "I'm going to show you something I haven't even showed Kyouko!" I said pulling out my phone and pulled up YouTube and went to my channel. Tooru looked at me confused and looked at it. "A YouTube channel?" He asked confused. " My YouTube channel." I said pointing to the subscriber count and his jaw dropped. "Are you fot real?! This channel almost has over 600,000 subscribers!?" He said in shock and I nodded. "Yeah. I do YouTube videos and stream games on Twitch too. It's most likely what I'll be continuing to do when I graduate!" I replied and then he looked at me. "But I don't get it! How does this make you a bad match for Kyouko? If you asked me if everyone in school knew this you'd have numerous girls trying to go out with you!" He said and I chuckled softly. "Probably so but what about explaining to their parents that you make video game videos for Youtube as a job! Do you honestly expect them to accept me for that?" I asked and Tooru went silent and sighed as he leaned against the fence. "Yeah I guess you're right! Something like that could cause family strife." He said and I nodded. "Yeah. And I don't want to cause that kind of strife for Kyouko. So if you want to confess to her then go ahead." I said as I started walking back inside. I headed back to class as Tooru and I had skipped gym.

In class Kyouko was waiting for us. "There you two slackers are! What do you think you're doing skipping class like that?" She demanded with her hands on her hips glaring at us. "Uhh Hori! I need to talk to you after class!" Tooru said and she looked surprised. "I uh-" She started to say but I cut her off. "Don't worry Kyouko! I can pick up Souta! Just listen to what he has to say!" I said smiling at her and she looked at me surprised and nodded. "Okay." She replied softly and after school I went to Souta's school to pick him up and took him to his house. All the while I felt horrible knowing that I might have to stop hanging out with her and Souta. Souta had become like a little brother to me and well I had become really close to Kyouko to but I don't know how I could stand seeing her with someone else. I took a deep breath and exhaled again as I walked into Souta's house and hung out with him while waiting for Kyouko to come back.
