Chapter 3

*(Y/n)'s pov*

I was sitting at the table with Souta doing my home work while Souta was coloring. "When is big sis coming back bro?" He asked me and I smiled at him. "She had to talk to a friend before coming home first so she should be back soon." I replied and he nodded before going back doing my home work. This might be my last time coming over here. I thought to myself as I went over my homework. Just as this thought went through my mind I heard the door open and Kyouko walked into the room from the hallway that led to the front door. She looked at me and Souta. "Hey Big sis! Welcome home!" Souta said smiling. "Hey Souta. I'll start dinner in a bit so go wash up!" She said to him and he nodded. "Okay!" He said and ran off to the bathroom. She looked at me. "Can we talk (Y/n)?" She asked me and I nodded and followed her to a different hall off the living room. This is it! If she asks me to stop coming around then I'll have to comply! I thought to myself as I waited for her to speak. "So Tooru told me you thought of me as a simple friend huh?" She said to me and I looked at her confused. "Uh yeah, but didn't he say something else to you?" I asked her and she crossed her arms. "He confessed he liked me but I rejected him!" She replied and I looked at her surprised. "What?! Why? Tooru is a nice guy!" I replied and she crossed her arms and looked away. "If you think that then why don't you date him!" She replied. "No thanks. I'm not into guys." I replied and she nodded. "But why did you turn him down?" I asked her and she sighed as she leaned against the wall and looked at the ceiling. "Guys like Tooru run the instant they see a girl without their makeup on." She replied and I raised an eyebrow. I mean sure Kyouko was cute with makeup on but she was just as cute without makeup on too.

I cleared my throat and rubbed my neck. "I see." I replied and she crossed her arms and moved to glare at me. "Also you better not stop coming over! Because if you do then I'll kick your ass! Just thinking about all the leftovers I'll have left makes me angry!" She said grabbing her head and I backed up to the wall as she yelled at me. "Okay Kyouko! I promise I'll keep coming over when I'm free!" I told her and she calmed down. "Good! Now I need to go start dinner! You're staying for dinner tonight to right?" She asked me smiling and I smiled back and nodded. "Yeah. Though I'll have to return home after dinner as I have something I can't reschedule to do tonight." I told her and she nodded. "Okay. Then go show Souta how to wash up for dinner!" She said and I smiled and nodded. "Yes ma'am!" I said to her jokingly and she smiled and rolled her eyes. I feel bad for Tooru but I'm kinda glad I get to continue hanging out with Kyouko! I thought to myself. A little while later I was sitting down eating dinner with Kyouko and Souta. "So big bro what do you have to do tonight that you can't reschedule!" Souta asked me. "I have a live stream planned tonight." I told him forgetting I haven't told them about that. "Livestream? What's that?" He asked me and that's when I realized what I said. "Oh right. I never told you two about that." I said and I pulled out my phone. "To put it simply it's like news on tv. Except a Live stream can be about anything." I said pulling up my Twitch channel. "It's like the news?" Souta asked as him and Kyouko looked at my phone. "Yeah. I do video games on this site called Twitch. People all around the world can watch me play live and event comment and interact with me live." I explained and Souta smiled. "Oh that's so cool!" Souta said and I smiled and nodded. 

"How many people usually watch you live?" Kyouko asked as she took a bite of rice. "About 20-" I said and Kyouko nodded not really reacting before I finished my sentence. "Thousand is the average but sometimes it can be higher or lower then that." I continued and I swore it looked like she almost choked on her food. "That many people?!" She asked surprised and I nodded. "Yep." I replied. "Wow! I honestly didn't expect to hear that. It's kind of a shock." She said and I nodded. "Yeah. I never thought I'd still be doing it when I first created my channel but I honestly didn't expect it to grow so much. Now I have over a half a million subscribers on both Youtube and Twitch and I'm actually making money off the channels!" I said and they both looked surprised. "Whoa! Really?" Souta asked and I nodded. "Yeah. I actually have a good amount in a savings account." I replied and they both looked surprised at me. Kyouko raised an eyebrow. "How much exactly?" She asked and I rubbed my chin. "Hmm about $322,000 USD so I think that's like about 36,000,000 yen if I'm converting right." I said and both Kyouko and Souta looked at me in even more shock. "You literally have that much money on hand?" Kyouko asked and I just shrugged. "Like I said it's in a savings account I use for stuff I want like new video games or parts I need for my gaming computer. I also use it to purchase the new gaming consoles too." I explained and they both nodded. The two continued asking me questions about my streaming and Youtube career and to be honest I was quite happy to have people encouraging me to do what I like but soon it was time for me to leave. "I got to go now but you two should come over sometime and I'll show you guys my streaming setup!" I said smiling and they smiled and nodded. "Sure! Sounds fun!" They replied and after that I said goodbye and left.
