Chapter 8

 *(Y/n)'s pov*

I was still at Kyouko's house with her and her dad Kyousuke. Souta had came into the room to see his dad and ran over to hug him. That's when Yuriko walked into the room and saw her husband. "Kyousuke!?" She said as she dropped a bag of groceries. "Hey Yuriko!" He said smiling at her. Then Yuriko put her hand on her cheek. "Oh dear what are we going to do about dinner? We do not have enough tableware for you Kyousuke!" She said and I raised an eyebrow confused. "I mean there's me, Kyouko, Souta, and (Y/n)." She said and Kyousuke looked surprised. "What!?" He said in shock. "Seems like you'll have to go somewhere else to eat!" She said with a dead pan expression towards her husband. Wow!? Aren't these two supposed to be married. I thought to myself. "Th-Then how about we go out to eat? My treat!" Kyousuke said. "I can just go home you know?" I said standing up from the couch. "Don't be silly! I'd like to get to know my daughter's boyfriend!" He replied and Yuriko and Souta looked surprised slightly as Kyouko and I blushed. "Oh uh okay." I said simply and after that we started to leave. "Hmm where should we go?" Kyousuke asked. "How about somewhere with Beluga Caviar?" Yuriko said. "Or what about Shark's fin soup?" Kyouko asked and Kyousuke shook his head with an exasperated look. "Oh come on! That's a lot of money!" He said and I smiled. "I know a good ramen place near by!" I said and they looked at me. "Ooo Ramen sounds good!" Souta said and the girls just nodded. We then left the house and headed to the ramen shop. Kyousuke was constantly asking me questions about myself about my hobbies and what I like to do and then he finally asked the question I was very hesitant to answer. "So (Y/n) what do you plan on going to college for?" He asked me and I looked at the ground as I led them to the Ramen shop. "I uh actually don't plan on going to college!" I said and Yuriko and Kyousuke both looked at me questioningly. "Why's that?" He asked and I looked at him. "Because I'm already doing something I enjoy." I said before going on to explain how I'm a content creator on YouTube and how I do streams on Twitch and how I'm actually making money from sponsors and merch sales.

Kyousuke smiled and looked at Yuriko. "Well Yuriko it looks Kyouko found herself someone who is capable of taking good care of her after all!" He said and she nodded with a smile. "It seems so!" She replied and I looked at them confused. "Wait! You mean you two accept the fact I don't have an actual job or that I don't intend to go to college?" I asked and they nodded. "Of course. You're a good kid and you seem to be able to take care of yourself and other's so we have no problem with you dating Kyouko." Kyousuke said. "We just want you two to be happy." Yuriko added and I nodded and looked at Kyouko who was smiling at me. I smiled back and nodded and we arrived at the ramen place and we headed in. We ordered our ramen though the owner didn't have to take my order so I just sat down at a table big enough for all of us to sit. Once they finished ordering they joined me at the table. Kyouko sat beside me and Souta sat on my other side. "You're not going to order anything bro?" Souta asked me and I smiled at him. "I don't need too. I come here a lot by myself so the owner knows what I usually order." I replied and they nodded. "You should really eat something more healthy!" Kyouko said and I smiled and held her hand. "I do eat healthy. I only come here when my aunt and Uncle are working late." I replied and she nodded. "I see." She replied smiling and blushing slightly. I smiled back when my phone dinged and I took it out. I looked at it confused as it wasn't a message but someone tweeting at me on Twitter. So I opened Twitter to see it was my streaming pal ArticWolf Gaming. His real name is Jaiden and he's been apart of our streaming game since the very beginning. I look at his tweet and chuckle softly and rolled my eyes as I see his tweet saying that he intends to win tomorrow's charity Mario Party stream. We had come up with a punishment game that whoever loses gets a certain punishment based on how much money we raise. "Something funny?" Kyouko asked and I smiled and looked at her. "Just one of my streaming buddies being a moron." I said after I wrote my reply and tweeted it to him.  Kyouko nodded and looked at my tweet. "You got a stream tomorrow?" She asked and I nodded. "Yeah. We're doing a charity stream for a kids charity group. The money will be going to help give kids in the hospital with cancer or other life threatening diseases gaming consoles and toys to play with while at the hospital. I also plan on  donating $50,000 of my own money too." I explained and Kyouko and her parents looked at me surprised. 

"Wow! That's really incredible!" Yuriko said and Kyouko nodded. "$50,000!? You have that much money?" Kyousuke asked me. "I actually have much more then that in a savings account. So I have no problem donating that much money!" I replied and he nodded as he stared at me in shock. Yuriko had a sweet smile on her face as she looked at me and Kyouko. "Wait!? Now that I think about it! You were acting weird around this time last year at school too! Is this the reason why?" She asked me and I groaned and put my forehead against the table. "Ugh I had to be reminded of that!..... But yeah. I lost last year and had to go through the punishment of watching some of the worst and most cringey shows and videos we could find on YouTube. I wound up having to stay up late all night because of it and was exhausted." I said and Kyouko giggled. "But if you hated the punishment then why do it?" Souta asked me and I sat up. "Because it's for a good cause. We raised over 200,000 dollars that stream all of which went to charity." I explained and Kyouko went wide eyed remembering how everyone was making fun of me for being sleepy in class when I had actually doing it because I did something for charity. Her hand balled into a fist in anger at them. I didn't know that these thoughts were going through here head so I gently placed a hand on top of hers and she looked at me and I smiled softly at her and she smiled back. Not long after that our food arrived and we started eating. After dinner Kyouko was walking me home. "Sorry for my family." She said as we spent a couple minutes walking in silence. "It's fine. To be honest hearing that your family accepts me is a great weight off my shoulders! I was so worried that they'd hate me for my job choice." I said as I held her hand. "Well they don't hate you. In fact it seems more like they're more ready to adopt you into the family then anything!" She said giggling and I nodded. "Yeah. That's true. Though to tell the truth I'm kinda jealous of you having such a good relationship with your parents!" I replied and she looked at me confused but before she could speak I continued. "My mom and Dad always held me to high regards! Wanting me to do things their way but I could never achieve it! My siblings made things worse for me mostly unknowingly because I would constantly be compared to them! Both by teachers and my parents." I explained and Kyouko looks at me surprised. "So you moved to a place where people didn't know you and your family so you wouldn't be compared to them?" She asked and I nodded. "Yeah. I mean everyone calls me an otaku or weeb now but to be honest it's much better then constantly being called a failure by everyone!" I replied and she nodded as she moved closer to me. Shortly after this conversation it was time for us to part ways. "I better get going. I'll see you tomorrow at school." I said smiling at her and she smiled back and nodded. "Okay." She said and I then blushed as I moved in to kiss her gently on the lips. She was surprised at first but kissed back and after we separated I said good bye one more time and headed home. My first kiss was with the girl I love! I'm incredibly happy with this life. I thought to myself as I looked up at the stars as I walked home.
