Chapter 7

*(Y/n)'s pov*

A few days after Kyouko got sick with a cold she finally returned to school and I was sitting at my desk looking over my notes when she walked into class and Yuki went over to her. "Oh it's so good to have you back in class Kyouko!" She said hugging Kyouko. Kyouko hugged her back. "Hey Yuki. Glad to see you." She replied and Yuki smiled more. The two then started catching up and I just stayed at my desk. Tooru greeted her too but after that he walked over to me. "Hey aren't you going to go talk to her?" He asked me and I shook my head. "I've been stopping by her house after school the past couple days to check on her anyways so I'll let her catch up with her friends alone." i explained and Tooru nodded and sat down at his desk in front of me and turned to face me. "Yeah. So anyway have you told her yet?" He asked me and I blushed slightly and looked at my notes but nodded slightly. He smiled and patted my shoulder. "That's great! How did she reply?" He asked smiling at me though I could tell he was trying to hide the pain. After all the girl you have a crush on admitting she has feelings for someone you see as a friend is quite painful to go through. "Look Tooru are you okay with this? I mean we're friends and I know you have feelings for her too!" I asked him and he nods and sighed. "I'm mostly okay. I mean yeah it's a bit painful but I'm over her now." He said and I nodded. "Okay man." I said but before we could continue our conversation the teacher came into the class room and started class. I started taking notes and continued with class as normal. In fact it felt like nothing had changed between me and Kyouko. Where do we go now? I mean we both admitted that we have feelings for each other! So do I ask her to be my girlfriend or what? I thought to myself as I walked out of the school. I saw Kyouko waiting for me and she walked over. "So uh would you like to come over to my house?" She asked me and I nodded. "Sure." I said smiling and she smiled back and the two of us headed to her house. As we walked to her house I glanced down at her hand then looked forward but she surprised me when she wrapped her slender fingers around my hand and held it in her hand. I blushed from the surprise contact but wrapped my fingers around her hand and she smiled slightly. "Your hand is so much larger than mine!" She said softly and I smiled and nodded. "Yeah well guy's hands usually are bigger then girl's hands." I said in reply and she just nodded simply.

A little while later we were at her house after picking up Souta from his school and we were now seated on the couch in the living room of her house while Souta was in his room reading a book. "So uh where do we go from here?" I asked and she was about to say something when we heard the front door open. Her mom must be home now! I thought to myself only to be wrong about ti as a man with silver hair that hanged in front of his face walked into the room. In one of his hands was a lit cigarette and over his left shoulder was a bag. "Hey Kyouko." He said and Kyouko stood up quickly and looked at him surprised. "Kyousuke!? What are you doing here?!" She asked in surprised. Kyousuke? I thought to myself as I wondered who this man was. The man then crouched down and looked at me as he examined my face. "A foreigner? Where you from kid?" He asked me as he looked at me. "Uhh I'm from the US." I said a little surprised this man got in front of me. He was about to say something else to me but was stopped by Kyouko delivering an axe kick to the top of his head. "Hey dumbass! Put out that cigarette in the house!" She said as she gave him a death glare. The man groaned in pain and rubbed his head as he looked at her. "Kyouko dear! Maidens don't axe kick their fathers you know?" He said and my eyes went wide. This guys her Father!? Wow! I would have never guessed! I thought to myself surprised. "Oh didn't you hear! That's all the rage these days!" She replied coldly as she cleaned some dishes in the kitchen. Kyousuke groaned as he sat down next to me on the couch. "Kyouko dear could you fix me something to eat?" He said to her and she looked at him. "What! Why should I-.... Oh fine!" She said before going over to the pot on the stove and started stirring it with a spoon. "She usually gripes but she usually does fix me dinner. She's a very great daughter!" He said to me and I nodded. "I see." I said feeling a little awkward. "So tell me are you my daughter's boyfriend?" He asked me and I was about to reply when Kyouko put the ladle she was using to get Kyousuke's food into a bowl to his head. He yelped in pain as the ladle had just came out of a hot pot of curry. "So what if he is my boyfriend? You got a problem with that?" She asked with a slight tint of red on her cheeks. I was taken by surprise by Kyouko calling me her boyfriend but I also felt happy about it.

"Geez! You're just like your mother with these tendencies of yours!" He said rubbing his head where she put the ladle. He looked at me. "So tell me kid! Are you sure you want to settle for a girl like her?" He asked me and before Kyouko could yell at him I spoke up. "I'm not settling. Kyouko is the girl I like. Sure I could probably find a more beautiful girl then her easily and with my fame and status I could get a girlfriend easily, but no matter what girl I find they'd be nothing like her. Kyouko is an amazing girl who is smart and cheerful girl who also has a quirk for liking horror movies. I really enjoy every minute I spend with her." I said and Kyousoke smiled and nodded as Kyouko walked up to me and whacked me on the back of the head with a blushing red face. "Why did you have to go and say all that embarrassing stuff you dummy?!" She said pouting but it only made her look cuter. I look up at her pouting, blushing face while rubbing the back of my head. "Because I was only saying the truth and how I feel about you." I said and she blushed more and went back to the kitchen. She was calling me a dummy a lot which I discovered from her brother a few weeks after we started hanging out she does when she gets embarrassed. She really is adorable! I thought to myself smiling.
