Skeppy managed not to notice Wilbur. His eyes were only for Techno, hair out and flying a whirlwind around his head, eyes glowing gold.

And, of course, he didn't notice the forcefield surrounding them.

Techno took a step forward, and of course, when someone scary takes a step towards you, you step back.

Skeppy walked straight into the forcefield.

Wilbur closed his eyes, waiting for Skeppy's inevitable screams as he touched the sun-hot surface of the forcefield.
There were none. What he heard was the sound of magic breaking.

Wilbur opened his eyes.

What he saw was the field disintegrating away from Skeppy, like paper in a river.

Of course. It's just like the ancient texts say: 'Broken by the one who truly loves'. Skeppy loves Techno - awwww, how cute, the marriage will work out - It's going to be okay.

     - How wrong was poor Wilbur. The ancient texts told of 'Broken by the one who's truly loved'.

That's when Soot noticed the cobra-unicorn. A mutantly blue-fanged, properly daemonic, and very angry Cobra-Unicorn.

Oh dear- Was all that had enough time to throw itself across his mind before the unicorn attacked.

         > I would like to end my chapter here but then it would be too short...

         > I could do that anyway, though...

         > Or not I guess.

In one fell swoop, using the opening in the forcefield created by Skeppy, the cobra-unicorn snatched the piece of glowing sap-cicle out of Techno's hand.

And swallowed it.

Techno's wide eyes, gold rapidly fading, helplessly watched as the magic spread across the cobra-unicorn.
First the blue fangs, then the scaly horse-snout, then the ear slits, up the glittery horn which gave the cobra-unicorn its name, down the scale-covered neck and short, webbed mane, over the translucent dragon-wings, down the snake-shaped body, and to the tip of its tail.

When the gold reached the tail end, the unicorn neighissed loudly. With a flash, the gold turned to pink, and its wings unfurled. It flew, and a rainbow followed its tail as it curved through the sky. They watched as other cobra-unicorns, hidden in the trees below, floated up while turning pink, joined the rainbow.

In a land far away, the land renamed 'The Ende of the Rainbowe', a stampede of pink cobra-unicorns was sighted. The witnesses soon went crazy, and the land was once more renamed, this time to 'The Ende of the Rainbowe, where the Pinke Unicornes Do Their Dance'.
This was made into a song, to later, after many a hundred years, to come to the land where the rainbow began.

'Pink fluffy unicorns, dancing on rainbows' is how the song begins. The rest of it is lost to history and the many re-singings it undertook.

Also, we are not sure whether the unicorns were fluffy. This may be a lie.
