I looked at Vernon with tears pouring down my eyes like a waterfall.

He just smirked.
"I warned you, didn't I"
"I-i didn't, I swear! I'm sorry Mr. Dursley please don't take me there, please."

He tutted.
"Shouldn't have told those creatures to harm my Dudley, you Freak! Now get out of my car, this instant!"

Pandora hesitated at first but when she saw the glare on his face she quickly took her bag and ran into the orphanage.

An old lady looked at her oddly,
"Do I know you, dear?"
Pandora looked away, her eyes shining in embarrassment. "No...Madam..."
"Well, introduce yourself."
"I-I'm Pandora, I only know my first and middle name, I was never told my last one...."
The woman looked at her, clearly amused.
"And what's your middle name?"
Pandora hesitated before saying,
".....Ivy, Pandora Ivy."
"Okay dear I understand, you will use your middle name as your last name, is that clear?" Pandora quickly nodded "Use your words, dear"
"Y-yes Madam"
"Good, now, fortunately, we have no space in this orphanage, however tomorrow I'm going on a trip to France and you will be given to one of the Orphanages there." "Okay, Madam thank you"
The woman just nodded in response.

Pandora was put into a diminutive, cramped room after she gave the women all her information. She sobbed for hours which felt like days while everyone outside her room chuckled at the sounds of her weeping. She loathed her life, everything awry happened to her. Subsequently bursting into tears, another woman came in and yanked her into a cafeteria with just 5 tables and puny containers of something like porridge In them. She sat in a seat and ate the disgusting excuse for food. Before anyone could say anything to her, Pandora ran into her small room and jerked onto the ripped mattress, and slept.

She was woken up with water gushed on her. The woman from yesterday whom she first met was staring at her with pure revulsion.
"We're going, now."
Quickly they got into a car and went to a train station. The woman grabbed her and dragged her into a train to France.

4 hours later:

They had just arrived in France. The magnificence of the country was mesmerizing. She could hear all the people around her chattering in French. The woman took her to this man that was waiting while looking at a newspaper and said something Pandora didn't quite understand. The man smiled warmly at her, showing his perfect teeth, and took her by her arm and both went on another train.

"Hello, my name is Ben."He said with a thick French accent.
Pandora sensed a type of comfort around him.
"Hi. I'm Pandora, Pandora Ivy."
"Nice name you got there," he said while grinning widely.
"I have a feeling we're going to be good friends Pandora"
Pandora for the first time genuinely smiled, a real smile, not a controlled giggle from Dudley's stupid behavior, an actual smile.

They arrived at a modern, clean orphanage. Pandora was grateful to be out of her lousy relative's company, grateful that the other orphanage had no spaces left.

Ben gave her a clean room with a good, comfortable bed and wide windows.
"Thank you".
"You're welcome".

7 months later:

Pandora had never been this delighted before. Everything was going smoothly, Ben was a kind-hearted man that would help her in every path he could. She saw him as a bigger brother, a helper even. She still didn't let her guard down, though. She couldn't delegate anyone, not as she did before. But it was getting hard to not tell him everything that happened to her.

Ben had got sick so she was writing him a letter, telling him her yearnings for him getting better.

Just as she was going to send it through the postcode, a woman came and told her the most heart-wrenching news ever. Ben had passed away.

That night Pandora didn't sleep at all. She cried so hard she promised herself to never get close to anybody or dare to even cry for them. She would not care for a single soul, just like how no one cared for her.

Meanwhile Harry:

Harry would get so many gifts for his birthday, he was the definition of spoilt. He couldn't speak parseltongue like Pandora either. His best friends were the Weasleys but Neville Longbottom was like a brother to him. Harry treasured his father a lot, he loved his mother as well, however she would always lie to him, he even noticed how she would act like she cared about everyone but she didn't. She didn't care he knew it, but he hid the idea. He was thinking about his mother at the end of the day. Of course, she cares about him, and everyone does.

James Pov:

Not a day goes by I don't think about her, I remember her name it was ....Pandora, Pandora...Ivy Potter. Guilt consumed him at the thought of forgetting her name. He was still searching for her but it was no use, he couldn't find any traces. He wouldn't give up, not now. James had talked to Sirius and Remus, about the situation and, at first, they were shocked at how ruthless Lily can be. They weren't as warm with Lily as they used to be, I mean... No one would after knowing what she did. Sirius was Pandora's godfather so he felt this different type of wrath towards Lily.

Pandora Pov:

I was always so unhappy. I couldn't help but feel guilty. I couldn't even say Goodbye to him. The main reason I was so unhappy because of Ben's death was that he was like me, he could control things and bring them to me. He would bring me gifts and shower me with his happiness. I didn't even know what a hug was before. Pathetic.

She had to grow up now. She was at the age of 11 now. She had her responsibilities. She had to take care of herself instead of knowing someone was always there for her. Because this time, no one was there.
