LUNA'S POV

News of what had occurred the day before spread fast, and it seems that everyone had something to say about the situation. Many students are baffled and amazed that we managed to break into the file room, others are only immensely relieved about Michelle and Doug's expulsion from the school. I can't say I blame them.

The Moon Goats agreed to meet by Sam's locker this morning, so we did just that. We're still reeling from the events of last afternoon, but it's over, and that's all that matters. Michelle and Doug aren't coming back.

"Dudes, I'm not appreciating all the stares we're receiving right now." Sully murmurs as he leans his back against the locker and surveys the passing students apprehensively.

"Yeah, I feel like everyone either idolizes us or is begging for us to be apprehended." Mazzy states, glaring at a passing student who stares at us for an extensive period of time. They avert their gaze and scamper down the hall.

"So... what now?" Alex asks. "I feel like we've just achieved this... big thing, but now we're just supposed to carry on with life as if it never happened?"

The remaining four of us shrug our shoulders, puzzled. I decide to pipe up, uncertain as to what else to do.

"We should devote our energy to preparing for the Royal Rumble. Sam, would you say that you're just about ready to perform your solo?" I ask, and Sam provides a smile. It's slightly weak, but not in the way of "I'm not prepared", but more so "I'm prepared, but the thought of entering a stage with tons of eyes watching me scares me to my core".

"Yeah, I'm ready, Lunes. Maybe you could... help me with finalizing it though?" Sam asks, and I nod eagerly.

"Of course! We'll set up a date, love." I wink, and Sam averts her eyes with a shy smile.

"We can check in with Ms. V and handle any last minute prepa--"

I'm quickly cut off as the intercom beeps with an incoming announcement. The whole hallway falls quiet in ways that should be considered impossible in a space full of high schoolers. It seems that everyone is keeping their ears perked for details regarding what occurred the day before.

"Excuse the interruption," Oliver's voice drifts across the hallway, though there really isn't much he's interrupting, considering the first class hasn't yet begun.

"Can Luna Loud, Sam Sharp, Mazzy Greenwood, Sully Robinson, and Alex Robinson please report to Principal Rivers' office? Thank you."

The intercom crackles and falls to silence, and the stillness in the hallway is practically deafening. All eyes turn our way, and murmurs ripple through the hall as students try to cover up the fact that they're obviously staring.

Sam and I lock eyes. Sam definitely looks nervous. Considering the risk of expulsion, the announcement seems to be taking a toll on her anxiety. The poor girl can barely maintain eye contact. Just receiving a grade below a B sends her into a panic attack, let alone getting expelled.

"Sam, I'm sure everything will be alright." I try my best to reassure her. "We'll be fine." I repeat to the rest of the group, and though everyone seems nervous, they're willing to believe me, for it's better than waiting in total fear.
