Eight months later, it is now winter and Park Hyun Shik's 2nd birthday was yesterday. He can't believe that he has already spent nine months in this world. On the other hand, he's quite proud of his achievements.
During those eight months, he practiced his walking and speech. He still lisps at times and much to his confusion the people around him call him cute when did.
Anyways.
He's now able to run. Without tripping or falling! Isn't that amazing?!?
How he went from winning international competitions to being proud of something as simple as running is lost in him but hey! Progress is progress, right?
Besides, he was also able to learn many things.
This body was born on January 9, Year 782 of the Felix Calendar. And today is January 10, two years later. He finds the calendar system interesting. It was so different from his previous world.
And he was finally able to see himself in a mirror!
He had deep red hair and green eyes, which reminded him of nature. He deduced that this body's hair color came from the father since the Mother had royal blue hair. This may sound narcissistic but he admits he looks cute.
His mother's name was Esther Beau Lincoln. Whoever thought of her was spot-on. She is a Peacock Beastman, and she is also the Queen of the Peacocks. That means he's part peacock, which still felt strange to him.
Unfortunately, he did not know the father's name. When he tried to ask, Esther awkwardly changed the topic so he stopped asking. It must be a sensitive subject to her hence he decided not to pry.
On another note, they really were on a floating island! How cool!
He asked Grandpa Otus, the Owl King, about their location on the map and he pointed to the Southern Oceans of the Eastern Continent.
When he saw the map, Park Hyun Shik saw some familiar names. And that is when it hit him. To confirm his hypothesis, he studied the map in his mother's study. And he was right! The names of the kingdoms match the ones in his favorite novel!

On that day, he learned that he reincarnated in the world of TCF.
He asked Grandpa Otus why Shangri-La wasn't labeled on the map. He said that they had been secluded because there were people who tried to kill all of the ruling tribes. He looked angry and a litttttle bit scary so he didn't ask anymore. However, he did say that they always get updates on the recent happenings on the continents. He said everyone can see the news on the billboard in every plaza around the island. Fortunately, there was a separate board specifically for that purpose at Esther's office.
They however only looked like scribblings to him. So now here he was learning how to read and write with his mother. He wants to be able to read when Cale starts his exploits.
"Alex, darling, you have almost finished all these beginners' books." Esther started.
They are currently at her office and sitting at a small table and chairs in the corner. They installed it after he started coming to her office frequently to learn.
Tilting his head, Park Hyun Shik asked, "Really, Mother?"
"Yes, dear," Esther nodded at him with a smile. She was proud of her son. She then clapped her hands once before saying, "How about we try improving our pronunciation now?"
'Finally!'
Park Hyun Shik smiled brightly at her. He can finally leave the boring books and advance! He agreed immediately.
