Chapter 1O: Unlucky Timing

Alexander spent the next few days getting to know Anemone.

He also learned that only he can see her the hard way. He almost freaked out when he found her lying beside him on his bed once he opened his eyes the day they met.

His mother woke up due to his noise and he scrambled to explain himself why there was a woman on his bed, only to freeze when his mother looked at him confusedly.

Anemone laughed hysterically upon understanding the situation and didn't even bother to stop when she explained to him that only he could see her because he had been blessed by the Heavenly Mother and has now the disposition of an Elementalist.

And ended it with a laugh,《Only those I deem worthy of my presence will see me, Foolish Child. Pfft-!》

Meaning, he made a fuss for nothing.

Which contributed to the conclusion of his observation on Anemone after the days passed.

Anemone is an absolute menace.

Chaos incarnate.

She enjoys and laughs at his misery.

On the other hand, Alexander found that he didn't mind her antics (just a bit) and enjoyed her company.

He just hopes she can stop making random jokes when he's talking with someone. He doesn't like the concerned looks he gets whenever he tries to stifle his laugh.

Because today, Cale will come to visit and finally meet her Alex.

She asked the chefs to prepare the snacks she usually served on his visits and reminded Odette to dress her son up for guests later.

She can't wait for them to meet! She had been waiting for this day since the White War ended and was glad he finally had the time and his enemies gone.

They can be a normal family now.

Esther was busy signing the urgent documents for the day when she heard urgent knocks on the door.

Esther raised her head and made a confused noise. Did something happen?

Upon giving her permission to enter, her close aide, Coretta, hastily opened the door, bowed her head to Esther's direction, and spoke in an urgent voice.

"Pardon my sudden intrusion, Your Majesty, however His Highness has started his hatching!"

Esther immediately stood up at her words and headed towards the door. She left instructions to Coretta without turning her head once.

"Can you organize the papers for me? I'll finish them later."

"Yes, Your Majesty."

Once outside, she headed towards the stairs that lead to the fifth floor, where Alex's hatching room was prepared.

She immediately opened the door to the room upon seeing it. Inside the room stood her three brothers surrounding a crib protectively.

 It was Brent who first noticed her.

"You're here."

Esther asked him as she quickened her steps, "How is he?"

"He's fine, he just entered the first stage."
