"Your Highness, it's time to wake up now."

Alexander woke up to a gentle voice. Yawning, he slowly sat on his bed and stretched his arms. He turned his head towards the direction of the voice and greeted the person standing there with a sleepy smile.

"Good morning, Nanny."

A middle-aged woman stood on his left. She was drawing the blinds as she returned his greetings.

"Good morning, to you too, Your Highness."

His nanny, Odelia, is also a peacock beastman. She had been with Alexander since he was born alongside a maid named Beth. The only thing Alexander knew of Beth was that Beth was an orphaned half-peacock.

Odelia picked him up and walked towards the bathroom with him in her arms while Beth fixed the bed.

"Let's take a bath now, Your Highness."

After the bath, Odelia put on Alexander's clothes for him. Beth then informed him of his schedule for the day.

"Your class will be starting in a few hours, Your Highness."

Alexander nodded his head in acknowledgment.

Mr. Clint, his tutor, taught him reading, writing, and the proper pronunciation of words. Sometimes he tells him the history and stories of their race.

Reading isn't that difficult however since they still haven't started with the difficult ones. And they may call it writing, but it's just scribbling doodles on his part. It looked like it to him at least. The one that truly improved the most for Alexander would be his pronunciation with all the effort he pushed to it. Although to his dismay, he still lisps at times.

Like right now.

"Let's go eat with Motwer now, Nanny!", he said so excitedly that he unconsciously lisped again.

'Dammit.'

Alexander could feel shame rising through him. Odelia chuckled before lifting him in her arms. With an amused smile on her face, she walked towards the door.

"Yes, Your Highness. We will go eat with Motwer now."

Alexander hid his face in his hands. Odelia and Beth laughed good-naturedly at his actions.

After a while, Alexander overcame his embarrassment and talked with Odelia and Beth until they reached the dining room. When Beth opened the door, Alexander saw a blue-haired lady sitting at the head of the table. Odelia put him down on the floor and immediately Alexander ran towards the seated lady.

"Mama!" Alexander said with arms outstretched.

The blue-haired lady froze for a moment before she smiled brightly. She picked Alexander up and placed him on her lap.

"Mama! Good morning!"

"Good morning to you too, my dear little Alex."

Alexander kept talking to his mother the entire time they ate.

Alexander loves being with his mother, part of which may be because he doesn't have parents back on Earth, and being with her makes him feel safe and warm. A feeling so foreign for him.

Now that he knows that he really is her son, Alexander can now allow himself to feel the joy in being with her. Thus he swore to himself to be strong to protect her.

"Mama, Alex will see you latew!" Alexander waved to her while being carried away towards the door by Odelia after they finished their meal. It was unfortunately time for his private class, he did not notice the time fly.
