Trust Issues - Hunter/Golden Guard

Tw: This chapter is going to have a lot of detail in abuse, blood and other trauma, if these things disturb you, please do not read this chapter.

*update* So i described these things more than i thought i was going to so uh just be warned in go into quite a bit of detail.

Hunter's POV

Hunter groaned rubbing his eyes, as the Human's girlfriend sat in silence death glaring him. "Can you please go death glare someone else? I really want to go to sleep!" Hunter said annoyed, she just looked at him. He sighed leaning back against the wall, over the past few days the cotten-candy haired girl had been like this the majority of the time Hunter was awake, and maybe even when he wasn't he didn't know. "Hey Amity? Where are you?" Luz called out, "she's in here" Hunter replied in an annoyed voice. "Oh right of course she is" Luz said appearing in the doorway, "Hey so Amity, I thought we could maybe go out on a date today?" Amity immediately tore her eyes off Hunter and looked at Luz, her eyes gleaming "Y-Yeah!.....oh but what about The Golden Guard?". "Oh I brought Edric here so i thought he could-" "OK! lets go!" Amity said pulling Luz out of the door, "Uh- Hunter this is Edric, Amity's older brother." Luz said as she was being pulled out the door. A tall boy walked in definitely taller then Hunter but not by much, he had green hair and a golden eyes. "Hi!" he said as he walked in, "Hi." Hunter said flatly "Gosh you sound almost as boring as Mittens" Edric said "Oh no trust me he is not!" Eda said walking in and crossing her arms "the Kid is all over the place! He's gotten into waaay to much trouble". "Ah oh then, sounds like my kind of guy!" Edric said clearly trying to flirt with Hunter, wow he is childish Hunter thought as he turned away.   Suddenly Hunter felt a hand on his shoulder and he recoiled, thinking they meant him harm, "Woah dude, it's just me, chill!" Edric said holding his hands up in surrender. Hunter looked at the floor, Can't show him, can't show him... Hunter started breathing raggedly, he quickly tried to calm his racing heart and control his breathing, but he couldn't. 

*Flashback*

Hunter turned his head around the room, looking anywhere but his uncle "Is this how you are repaying me for taking you in? With failure?" his Uncle said holding Hunter's face and forcing him to look at him, "No! Uncle I-" Belos' hand morphed into a spike and struck him across the face. Hunter cried out in pain, his face contorting into one of pain "DO NOT INTERUPT ME!" Belos shouted. Hunter clutched his cheek, it felt as though millions of tiny needles had cut through his skin. Hunter fell in a heap on the floor, the pain was unbearable, he lay on the floor in extreme pain while his uncle talked about hunting for a selkidomus for it's scales. "So Hunter, I want you to go find a selkidomus for me and slay it" Belos said standing up from his throne, he pulled Hunter up and clutched his shoulder tightly "Do not fail this time" Belos said before sitting back down on his throne and dismissing Hunter. I know this routine Hunter thought putting his mask on so no one could see the gushing wound on his face, even though he knew his uniform was covered in his blood I'll have to patch myself up for now. 

*Another flashback* 

"Uncle! I-If you let me help I could-" "Hunter" Belos interrupted him "You must wait until you are older" "But Uncle-!" "HUNTER" Belos said loudly, his curse seeming to get a bit worse "Do not argue with me, you failed your last mission so now I know you are not ready". A pause, "But Uncle I read this wild magic-" Hunter got cut off by a long spike shooting through his left ear, slitting that part, Hunter tried not to react but still let out a muffled scream, he knew it would be best if he didn't react. But was extemely hard as his ear began throbbing and he felt the blood dripping down his face. Hunter just nodded his head looking at the floor and praying he'd be dismissed soon as his ear was beginning to go numb and the whole left side of his face was covered in blood, "Dismissed" his uncle said after looking at Hunter for what felt like an eternity. Hunter stood and did a lopsided bow, quietly groaning in pain as he walked out of the throne room. When he got back to his room, he felt tears spring in his eyes, his facial expression remained the same. Hunter felt something roll down his face, he didn't make a motion to move from where he sat at his door, but as something else rolled down his face he didnt know if it was blood or a tear. 

*Present Time*

"Woah-uh-Goldie...you good there...?" a voice said from next to him, Hunter became fully aware of his surroundings and he felt a tear run down his expressionless face. If I have to cry, I refuse to show any actual emotion- his thought got cut off by someone wrapping their arms around him. Hunter looked surprised for a few seconds and just stood there his arms suspended in the air, before he slowly put his arms around the Blight boy.
