Hunter's POV

Hunter was in that stage where he was asleep but still able to hear and feel everything around him, so Hunter was lying on the couch, after 'The Incident' this morning he needed to rest again, and heard Eda talking to Luz "I'm freaking out Luz! I enrolled him!" "What!? you did??" Luz sounded more excited than worried "Yeah" while Eda sounded infinitely more worried than excited "That's awesome!" "Yeah, but I'm not sure how he'll take it!" "He'll be fine! Plus he'll have me, Amity, Willow and Gus!". At that moment Hunter woke up enough to walk around, but not enough to come to the realisation of what had been said, and started walking towards the kitchen. "That's kinda what I'm worried about..." Eda said and the jumping stopped, the wooden floor felt cold and damp even through his boots, "...Yeah, I think they kind of all hate Hunter..." Luz said just as Hunter walked in the room "Who hates me?" he said, standing with his arms crossed and leaning against the doorframe. Luz jumped and turned around, while Eda merely turned her head to look at him "O-oh! Hunter! uh-morning!-um-who hates you-heh-uh-no one, nope no one" Luz said shifting uncomfortably ((Tw: swearing afoot)) Hunter clasped his hands in front of him leaning forward slightly "Cut the crap" his face showed next to no emotion at first, but then his eyes started clouding in confused as he realised what he had heard before he woke up properly "Hang on" Hunter said turning to Eda "What did you enrol me in?"

*a few seconds later*

"YOU WHAT!?" Hunter practically exploded "Eda enrolled you in-" Luz started but Hunter interrupted her "I don't know why I thought hearing a second time would make it sound better"  he pinched the bridge of his nose, sighing "I am not going to this 'school' is" Luz looked at him "You don't know Hexside?" Hunter looked over at Luz "of course i know Hexside, just never been, I don't really see the point of school" he sighed "Just learn from books, learn it yourself! 'Genius teen prodigy' remember?" everyone was silent for a while fairly shocked by Hunter's outburst "Also, just because I'm allowing you to help me, and trusting you for now does not mean I'm on your side now" Hunter crossed his arms again and looking down at the floor to his left. Luz walked over to the table an picked up a poster before walking back over to Hunter "I don't think you have a choice" she said handing the poster to Hunter, he looked up and slowly unfolded his arms, taking the paper. On the poster was the standard 'Join The Emperor's Coven Today!' quote, but instead of 'The Golden Guard' there was 'Kikimora'. "Great. Now I'll have to go explain to un-uh-Emperor Belos, that I am in fact, not dead" he sighed "I should probably go do that now.." he started walking towards the door but Eda grabbed his wrist "Nuh-uh- you aren't going anywhere, you agreed to stay here peacefully, but if we have to restrain you to keep you here...we will" Hunter pulled his wrist away "I get that you guys want to be 'nice' but the only way you can help me right now, is for you to let me go home!" Eda picked him up and sat him on a chair "Kid, it goes beyond helping you, we also want to help ourselves, and you being on Belos' side" she paused probably for dramatic affect "Really does not help us" a pause "...So you're saying I'm powerfu-" Luz put a hand over his mouth "No- that's not what we-" Eda put a hand up "Yup, that is what we are saying-" "EW DUDE!" Luz jumped back "Did you just lick my hand!? AGAIN!?" 

*5 minutes later*

Hunter sat in a chair in the kitchen/dining room with his arms crossed and an annoyed expression on his face "Kid, i hope you understand why we had to restrain you to the chair-" "nope I do not understand why you had to restrain me to this chair. I just want to go home Owl Lady!" Hunter interrupted her his eyes had an utmost amount of anger "What? Back 'home' to your abusive leader?" Hunter was about to retaliate when Luz gasped and called to Eda, before Eda walked over to Luz she turned to Hunter "This conversation is not over" Hunter scoffed "You're right for once actually Owl Lady" he spat 'Owl Lady' out like it was microwave pasta ((A/N 😅It's the only food i could come up with that i find thoroughly ✨disgusting✨)). "I think __ Hunter ____ Belos" Luz whispered to Eda, Hunter couldn't hear everything they were saying, only snippets, still he called out to them "If you're trying to be secretive it isn't working-" he was half way through his sentence when he heard "You should probably___Harpy__" which made him stop talking immediately. He looked back over at Eda and Luz and saw that Eda had something weird going on with her eyes and then she had something weird going on with her...everything...? "Huh, I guess you weren't kidding with the harpy thing..." Hunter said quietly his voice hitching, he would never admit it, but he was a little bit scared of Harpy Eda when he didn't have Rascal. "Scared?" Eda asks smirking, Hunter kept an emotionless face "I don't get scared Owl Lady" Eda shrugged and walked over to him, her face inches away from his "Not even of your Uncle?" Eda said her eyebrow raised and a smug expression on her face "I-What?-I don't" Hunter stammered a slightly worried and scared expression passing his face, before composing himself "I don't have an uncle" Luz moved past Eda and stood in front of Eda "You sure?" This seemed to trigger something in Hunter's mind and lots images started crashing into his brain

"Uncle! Let me help!"  

"I'm sorry Uncle-" 

"I swear I can do better!" 

"Uncle! I-I- I was so close, I'll  get them next time..."

"Uncl-"

And his Uncle's disappointment as well

"I need more"

"These outbursts are painful, and so is watching you fail"

"I know you can do better, Hunter"

A crushing pain in his cheek

An unimaginable amount of agony on his ear, a very sizable chunk of his ear in his hand"

"Uh-Y-yeah, I-uh-yeah-um-no" Hunter stammered, he could feel his ears drooping slightly. "...Hunter...?" Luz asked looking worried "Hmm?" he hummed looking up at Luz "Are you ok?" Hunter looked away again not answering. Luz kept looking at Hunter "Hunter? Are you related, by blood, to Belos?" Hunter looked at the floor, keeping a straight face, but even with a straight face he couldn't hold back the tears that decided to flow down his face. Luz looked at Hunter confused "So... he does have emotions other than annoying angsty teen..." Eda said quietly to Luz. Even though he was crying, Hunter's face remained expressionless. "So he is your uncle then?" she asked, Hunter slowly looked up at Luz and nodded silently, before shaking his head quickly and looking away, pulling up his 'always slightly annoyed teen' mask, but it wasn't as flawless as it usually was.

Phew, that took me waaaay longer than I thought! 1297 words! This chapter was kinda a filler, but I had lots of fun writing it! So i hope you had fun reading it! Anyway I'll see you later :). Byyyyeeeeeeeee
