Ezra POV

"And then she found out that Peter stole her lunch." Maudie said as we walked out.

I laughed.

I guess we were a little drunk.

We might have drank too much.

"I honestly had an amazing night." Maudie said.

"Me too." I said.

"I wonder what would make this night better?" Maudie asked.

"I don't know what can." I said.

"Oh! I know, we should watch the fireworks!" Maudie said with a sudden burst of energy.

"I don't know, It's pretty late and we're kind of drunk.." I said.

"Oh, don't be a party pooper." Maudie said.

"I'm not a party pooper-" I said.

"Yes you are! Party pooper!" Maudie teased like a little child.

I rolled my eyes

Who knew Maudie would be like this when she's drunk?

"Fine." I said.

"Yay!" Maudie said.

She grabbed my hand and pulled me away.

"Lets go get a good spot to watch the fireworks from." Maudie said as we walked

"Why did I say yes?..." I whined.

"Oh shut up. You know you want to." Maudie said as she playfully rolled her eyes.

I was half asleep as she dragged me around the plaza.

I didn't know where we were going

My eyelids felt heavy.

I felt really sleepy.

But I need to stay awake for Maudie.

Maudie finally stopped walking.

"This is the perfect spot." Maudie said.

I stood up straight.

I looked around.

We were surrounded by cars.

"The plaza carpark?" I asked.

"Yeah, we're going to get the best view ever." Maudie said.

"Okay sure I guess. We can sit down on the hood of my car." I said.

"Great idea." I said.

Maudie grabbed my hand and dragged me away.

Again.

It felt as if i was the guardian taking care of Maudie.

We got to my car and sat down on the hood

"When are the fireworks starting? I just want to get over this as soon as possible." I said.

"Shhh, be patient. It will come soon." Maudie said.
