17 year old Ezra POV    (Day 365 of dating)

"Thanks for walking me home." Maudie said as she looked at me.

Every time she looks at me.

I really can't help but smile.

She looks so short from my angle and it's really....

Cute.

"Your welcome." I smiled.

We reached Maudie's house.

"We're here." I said as I let go of her hand.

But Maudie didn't move.

She stared at me.

I stared back.

I felt like she was staring right into my soul.

"Isn't it weird that we're both 17 and haven't had our first kiss yet." Maudie said with a twinkle in her eyes.

I froze and my heart started beating faster.

It felt very tense.

Maudie then smiled.

WHAT DO I DO?

DO I KISS HER?

DO I WANT TO KISS HER?

YES I DEFINITELY DO.

BUT HOW DO I KISS?

It was just dead silence as we stared at each other.

"Your that nervous huh?" Maudie smirked.

That comment made me squirm a little.

"N-no." I said.

So I guess this is it.

I slowly leaned in and closed my eyes.

I got closer and closer.

It felt so awkward.

Then my lips pressed something that I'm pretty sure aren't Maudie's lips.

I opened my eyes and realized that I kissed Maudie's nose.

I quickly pulled back.

Maudie laughed.

She laughed so hard that tears started coming out of her eyes.

I felt so embarrassed.

"That was cute.." Maudie said as she wiped a tear away.

I looked down in embarrassment.

"Hey." Maudie said as she grabbed my hand. "Don't be embarrassed, that was funny and quite adorable."

I looked up and made eye contact with her.

I am so lucky to have her.

"So, take 2?" Maudie asked as she caressed my hand.

"Uhhh-" I said.

Maudie then got on her toes, cupped my face up and gave me a kiss.

The world stopped as we kissed.

I placed my hand on her waist and Maudie wrapped her arms around my neck.
