Ezra POV

I clutched the piece of paper tightly.

It was an old map that someone very special drew.

And let's just say,

It led to something special.

I've kept it all these years.

It's actually one of the reasons why I came back.

It has a particular date.

And that date was today.

The only problem is that I only have half of the map.

I know its quite stupid following half a map

However, It's worth a shot.

Right?

I thought as I crossed through a yellow bridge,

one I can barely cross because it was so narrow.

"Ezra, we've been walking for 10 minutes, when are we getting to this secret treasure?" Kyle whined.

Right, I forgot that Kyle tagged along.

"Be patient." I said looking back.

Kyle rolled his eyes.

I ignored him and took another look at the map.

'Once you have crossed the narrow yellow bridge, go 20 steps to your right.'

I started walking and counting my steps.

'1,2,3,4,5,6,7-'

"Hey Ezra." Kyle said.

"What is it?" I asked

'8,9,10,12-'

"The map we're following, It was made by Maudie right?.." Kyle asked.

I paused.

"So I'm right?" Kyle asked.

"Shh, your making me loose count." I said

"So I'm right?" Kyle asked.

"Great- Now I've lost my coun-" I said.

I suddenly crashed into a tree.

I fell back and landed on my butt

And instead of helping me up,

Kyle burst out laughing.

I sat up and rubbed my butt in pain.

After what seemed like forever,

Kyle finally helped me up, still maintaining his gorilla-like laugh.

He grabbed me by my armpits and carried me so effortlessly.

"Put me down Kyle." I said.

"Wow, your so light. Where's my thank you?" Kyle asked.

"Bitch didn't help me up straight awa-" I said as Kyle slowly set me down.
