Maudie POV

Nostalgia and memories flooded through my mind as Ezra, Kyle, Ava and I were standing in front of the InBESTigators office. (AKA Ezra's nanny flat) It was dead silent as we did. Everyone felt overwhelmed at the sight of it. The best memories of our lives were formed inside that Nanny flat. Everything felt so different, yet the same. It felt so heart warming. 

"Why are we staring?" Kyle asked in confusion.

"Shush Kyle, we're admiring our childhood. It's been a while since I saw the highlight of it." Ava said as she continued staring.

"I can't believe my eyes, Is that the InBESTigators?" A familiar voice said behind us.

We looked back and saw Poppy with the biggest smile on her face. Poppy looked absolutely gorgeous. She started running up to us in her expensive looking high heels. She pounced on Ezra and gave him a big hug.

"Ezra, I miss you!" She said happily.

"I miss you too Poppy... Now get off me.." Ezra muttered.

That melted my heart. Poppy got off him and turned to the rest of us. Once her eyes were on me, she gave me a hug.

"Well, isn't it my brother's girlfriend?" She said in a joyous tone.

I cringed. Ezra nudged her on the elbow.

"Remember what I told you? We're not dating anymore.." Ezra whispered.

"Oh uhm...." Poppy said pulling back from the hug. "This is awkward...".

It certainly was awkward. Honestly I'm used to this at this point. No use in being silent and making it more awkward.

"It's fine Poppy." I said forcing a smile.

Poppy smiled then proceeded to greet Ava and Kyle with her hugs. She's certainly acting odd.

"Ezra, did you know Poppy was here?" Ava asked. 

"I do, it's  actually one of the main reasons I'm here. She said that there was something important she needs to discuss that needs me and my parents in it." Ezra said.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Yeah right, you haven't told me. Why was it so urgent for me to be here." Ezra asked as she turned to Poppy.

Poppy bit her lip. "Mum and dad are inside, I'll tell you guys together." Poppy said rather nervously.

"What did you do?... ARE YOU PREGNANT?" Ezra said.

"No Ezra chill, I'm not THAT horny. Just come in with me and I'll tell you everything." Poppy said as she placed her hand on her hip.

Ezra crossed his arms and raised his eyebrow.

"Fine, lets go." Ezra said.

Poppy grabbed Ezra's arm and dragged him to their house. Kyle tried following along but luckily Ava caught him right on time.

"Kyle, It's their family's business. We shouldn't butt in." Ava said.

"Karen." Kyle muttered.

"Don't fuck with me right now." Ava said in a irritated tone.

"You two should though." I said with a snarky smile.
