Elijah had finally snagged his scholarship, a glimmer of hope in the tumult of his life. But stepping back onto the campus of his old university felt like diving into a shark tank with a chum suit on. The reputation preceding him was not his own; it was the legacy of the former Elijah Smith, the character who'd wreaked havoc in the love story of Ethan and Blaze. And let's just say, it wasn't a reputation that came with warm hugs and high fives.

As he strolled through the campus, Elijah couldn't shake off the weight of the past. This body had caused Ethan and Blaze no shortage of heartache, trying to tear them apart in a melodramatic soap opera. Now, facing them as classmates, the air felt as thick as peanut butter - and about as inviting.

Ethan and Blaze, the poster for relationship goals, sat together, their expressions more sour than a lemonade stand in a rainstorm. Elijah couldn't help but notice the sadness etched into their features, and it tugged at his heartstrings like a cat trying to escape a bath.

'Well, well, well, look who's crash-landed in Sad Town. Population: me.'

Summoning his courage, Elijah approached them, preparing himself for the emotional rollercoaster ahead. But as he got closer, he couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off, like he'd missed the memo for a really important meeting.

'Note to self: avoid eye contact with anyone and everyone. Especially those with serious resting glower face.'

Blaze's muttered words barely made it to Elijah's ears. "Elijah Smith? Seriously, what's he doing here? I don't want to see him after what he did to us."

And Ethan's response, though soft-spoken, hit Elijah like a sucker punch. "I can't believe they let him back. It's like the universe has a twisted sense of humor."

"There's nothing worse than being hated by your favorite characters, hahahah," Elijah muttered to himself, his voice tinged with irony.

Despite their words, Elijah couldn't help but notice the frustration simmering beneath the surface of their facade. There was something more than just surprise at seeing him, something deeper and darker.

'Well, isn't this just a delightful little reunion? Nothing says "welcome back" like a side of awkward and a sprinkle of resentment.'

Taking a deep breath, Elijah approached them, his voice carrying a hint of trepidation. "Hey, guys," he began, his words hanging in the air like a fog. "I know things haven't exactly been sunshine and rainbows in the past, but I'm here to make things right, to turn over a new leaf."

Blaze's eyes narrowed, his frustration palpable. "Do you even realize what you've done? The pain you've caused us? Are you just here to get another laugh at us?"

Elijah's heart sank like a stone in a pond. He hadn't expected a warm welcome, but the intensity of Blaze's words caught him off guard. He knew Elijah Smith, the character, had caused some drama in their lives, but the raw hurt in Blaze's voice made it feel like a personal betrayal.
