They had invited him to their apartment.

Elijah's heart pounded with a mix of excitement and anxiety. Being with Blaze and Ethan felt like a dream come true, but the uncertainty gnawed at him. He needed to get his act together, to see if he could find something—anything—that would prove he wasn't losing his mind.

Standing in front of the mirror, he adjusted his shirt for the fifth time, trying to make himself presentable. His hands trembled as he smoothed down the fabric, the familiar yet strange sensation of Blaze and Ethan's touches still lingering on his skin. His body reacted with an eagerness his mind couldn't understand.

Why did their presence feel so natural, so right? He couldn't reconcile the intense familiarity with the fact that he had only known them for a short while. There had to be more to this.

He grabbed his bag, stuffing in a few essentials, and took one last look in the mirror. His reflection still looked anxious, but there was a determination in his eyes. He had to know. He had to understand why he felt this way.

As he made his way to their apartment, his thoughts raced. He was certain he had some sort of relationship with both Ethan and Blaze. Was it romantic? Or just a very, very close friendship? The line between the two seemed blurred, and it only added to his confusion.

When he arrived, Blaze and Ethan were waiting at the door. Their smiles were warm and inviting, and before he could even say a word, they both moved in to hug him. Elijah's heart skipped a beat, the sense of belonging washing over him. He hugged them back, his body reacting instinctively, as if it was exactly where it was supposed to be.

They led him inside, the apartment exuding a sense of warmth and familiarity. Elijah felt a shiver run down his spine, the feeling of déjà vu almost overwhelming. He tried to push the doubts aside, focusing on the present moment.

Blaze and Ethan made him feel safe, wanted. Yet, the questions still lingered at the back of his mind. Why did his body react as if it had known them for years? What had happened at age 18 to change everything?

As they settled on the couch, Blaze's arm draped over his shoulders and Ethan's hand resting possessively on his thigh, Elijah felt the warmth of their bodies pressing against him. It was both comforting and suffocating. He could feel his heart racing, a mix of emotions swirling inside him.

They chatted casually, but Elijah's mind was elsewhere. He needed to find something, anything, that could explain the connection he felt with them. His eyes darted around the room, searching for clues. There had to be something here that could help him piece together the puzzle.

Blaze and Ethan seemed to sense his distraction. Blaze's hand moved to cup Elijah's cheek, forcing him to look into his eyes. "You okay, Eli?" Blaze asked, his voice soft but firm.

Elijah nodded, swallowing hard. "Yeah, just a bit overwhelmed, I guess."

Ethan squeezed his thigh gently, his touch grounding yet possessive. "You're with us now. Just relax."
