"Hi, this is Jimin, I can't come to the phone right now-" Yoongi lowered the phone from his ear and jabbed his thumb against the end call icon. It had been weeks since the last time he'd seen or heard from Jimin, but rather than sit around and wait for the younger male to get his shit together and come to him like he normally would, Yoongi had decided to take the initiative. He had called Jimin at least twice a day since the last time they spoke, hoping for just one time that he would answer the call. All he needed was one more conversation with him, a sense of closure, and if Jimin truly didn't want Yoongi, then he would back off. But he needed that conversation first.
It had also been weeks since he'd seen or spoken to Namjoon and Seokjin, excluding his and Namjoon's radio show, because he kind of had to talk to the other male then. At first, it was because he was too angry at how they had played a role in his and Jimin's 'break up', but now he had just been too lazy and embarrassed to reach out to them. They must have assumed that he was still mad at them, which was why the door to the staff room opened, revealing Jungkook carrying a Tupperware box full of cookies.
Yoongi's lips quirked into a small smile as the three-year-old approached him, holding the treat out to him. "Psst~" Yoongi glanced towards the door, seeing Seokjin barely peeking inside. "Say it to him!" He whispered to the three-year-old.
Jungkook's eyes lit up, as if suddenly remembering that he was supposed to say something. "Please don't hate my daddies. They love you~"
Yoongi chuckled a bit, sitting up and pulling Jungkook into his lap. "Tell your daddy to stop spying on us like a creep and get in here already."
Seokjin then sheepishly walked into the room, sitting down across from Yoongi as he opened the box of cookies, giving one to Jungkook first. "I'm sorry. I never should have called in to Jimin's show like that. What was going on between you guys was your business, and I never should have put my nose in it. And I'm sorry that I caused you guys to break up or whatever it is you're calling it."
Yoongi held out a cookie to Seokjin as a peace offering. "You didn't cause us to break up. I mean, you may have triggered it, but your call wasn't the actual reason." Seokjin tilted his head slightly, but didn't dare ask Yoongi what he meant, as he was trying this new thing called minding his own business. "I told him I'm in love with him, and that scared him, so he's been avoiding me." Seokjin's eyes widened, both from Yoongi's confession and from how easily the younger male had said it. "I never would have told him that if you hadn't called into the show, but I realize now that it really needed to be said. So, I should probably actually thank you for doing what you did."
It was quiet between the two of them, the only sound being Jungkook's babbling as he made the two halves of his cookie fight each other. "Are you going to be okay?" Seokjin finally asked.
Yoongi nodded. "Yeah, I will be. I just need to talk to Jimin one last time."
Seokjin hummed, taking another cookie for himself. "Don't break yourself over this though. If it's going to break your heart or hurt you, then he's not worth it." Yoongi promised Seokjin that he wouldn't let it get that far. "Hey, can you go tell Namjoon what you just told me, about how you should actually thank me? He's been beating himself up even more than I was because he was the one that told me everything going on between you and Jimin. I don't think he's even slept properly." His eyes shown with worry for his husband.
"Yeah, I'll talk to him before our show later." Yoongi promised, finally taking a bite of the cookie he'd been holding.

Jimin got settled on the floor of Jisoo's bedroom, digging through his backpack for his study materials. He, Jisoo, and a couple of other people had gotten together to study for their upcoming exams, and he gladly welcomed the distraction from what was currently going on in his life. "Do y'all mind if we listen to something? I have a hard time focusing without some kind of background noise."
The group of college students murmured that they didn't care, so she opened her laptop and pulled up her favorite radio station. Jimin tensed when a familiar voice flowed out of the laptop's speakers, knuckles turning white as he gripped the highlight he had just pulled out. "Is this RM and Suga?" Nayeon asked, eyes bright. "I love them! Their voices are soooo soothing!"
"And attractive~" Jisoo added on, giggling with Nayeon and making Hyungwon roll his eyes. "Especially Suga's! It's just so deep and sometimes gravelly. Like, can you imagine that voice growling in your ear while he takes you from behind."
Jimin could imagine, as he had been in that position many a time before, but unlike the two girls who were now gushing over the DJ, he was imagining Yoongi's voice in a very different way. In a singing in the shower way, a humming as he cooked dinner way, a habit of murmuring against your hair as he fell asleep way. He shook his head to rid himself of those thoughts and tried to block out the sound of the radio show, focusing on the study material in front of him.
It worked until half an hour into the session, when Jimin was drawn to Yoongi's words once again. "There are a lot of people out there who are scared of love, of being loved and falling in love. Usually it's because the person has been hurt greatly in the past, and the people who have hurt them are assholes and wouldn't deserve someone as amazing as them anyway." Jimin couldn't help the small laugh that escaped him, quickly turning it into a cough when Hyungwon looked at him in confusion. "And that's what this next song is about. I hope it reaches whoever needs to hear it tonight."
The opening notes of the song rang out, and Jisoo turned up the volume with an exclamation of how much she loved the song. "You say love is messed up, you say that it don't work, you don't wanna try, no no~" Jimin listened to every single word of the song, feeling something in his chest that he had never felt before. He didn't even realize that a tear had slipped down his cheek until the song was over, quickly wiping it away before anyone else noticed it.
That night as he was sitting in bed, he watched his phone light up with another call from Yoongi. Instead of tossing his phone to the side like he normally did, he picked it up and held it close to his face, his thumb hovering over the 'slide to answer' bar. His hand was shaking as he tried to will it to move, but it was as if his brain was disconnected from the rest of his body. No matter how much he wanted to, he just could not answer Yoongi's call. Eventually the screen went black, and Jimin set his phone back down, assuring himself that he could try again the next time the older male called.
But there wasn't a next time.

Hayran KurguNamjoon sighed. "Yoongi, Jimin is your boyfriend." Yoongi denied it once again. "You've been exclusive for six months, he's practically moved into your apartment, you drive him to class, he makes you coffee in the morning, and I'm like 99% sure you...
