third perspective;

A small girl was sat on the sidewalk; she've been crying for a while and forgot what she was even crying about. All she knew was that she was feeling sad.

She sniffed and wiped her tears with her arm before hugging her knees close to her chest.

No one seemed to be concern about the small crying child. They kept walking past her and ignored as if she was never there.

The little girl watched as the sun hits her soft (S/C) skin until it suddenly darken, The girl was confused so she averted her gaze from her skin towards the person who seemed to be blocking the sun.

As soon as she looked up, she saw...herself?
It was another version of her but happier.

Confused, the little girl stood up and leaned closer and so did the other version of her. The little girl thoughtfully thumbs her hair behind her ear and so did the other until it smiled brightly.

The second version of herself laughed and spinned before turning into a boy around her age. The boy had rose colored tinted cheeks on his tan colored skin, he had green-ish, brown-ish eyes that was staring back at her.

"why so blue?"

The boy asked, doing some silly poses making the girl chuckle a little at the silly boy. The little girl didn't answer the boy's question but the boy was impatient and didn't wait for an answer.

"you're silly"

As little kids, we've had lots of imaginations so the boy's shapeshifting never crossed the little girl's mind as strange or peculiar for that matter, instead the little girl smiled brightly as the boy shapeshifted into lots of people doing silly faces.

"aren't we all?"

The little boy replied, shapeshifting into his original self before grabbing the little girl's hand and pressing his lips softly against the back of her hand. How does he know such charm, you ask?

The little boy saw it from his parents, of course. He found it charming seeing his father treat his mother like a queen but never went through her damsel in distress phase. The little boy thought that it was a way to greet a lady, a pretty lady to be exact.

"Camilo Madrigal! what's your name, hermosa?"

The little boy said, looking at the girl with a smile. The little girl gave a confused smile but nonetheless smiled, she was just confused about what 'hermosa' means.

"(Y/N) (L/N)"

The littl girl replied, she was now genuinely happy but in the back of (Y/N)'s head there was this feeling that felt uneasy to her.

"why are you holding a ripped ruana?"

Camilo looked at the little girl's hand that he was holding, he was perplexed, Was this the reason she was crying?

(Y/N) looked at their hands before her eyes started to widen in realization, this was the reason she was crying!

The little girl then started to uncontrollably sob, she felt her knees weaken and fell but before she could hit the ground, Camilo grabbed her arm and pulled her back making the girl hug the slightly smaller boy.

(Y/N) had accidentally ripped one of her father's ruana and she didn't know how to sew it back together! (Y/N) doesn't want to make her father disappointed because of her.

"h-hey, it's okay...uhm..."

Camilo pursed his lips and ran his hand through the crying girl's hair gently. Camilo looked around to silently ask for help until an idea popped into his little brain.

"my prima can sew! she sew little flowers on my ruana see?"

Camilo smiled, pushing the crying girl gently to show off his yellow ruana with a cute red flower that had green leaves.

"it ripped when a-...a tree branch ripped it!"

Camilo replied, he was nervous the last sentence but (Y/N) only sniffed and looked at the little boy with a confused look—she didn't recognize some people in encanto for the (L/N)'s had only arrived a few days ago.

"let's go ask her, come on!"

Camilo grabbed (Y/N)'s hands before running to-who-knows-where.

The little girl seemed to have the weight of her shoulders sink as soon as she realize that a girl their age with beautiful flowers sewed on her outfit was sewing her father's ruana.
