"We ran into each other last week, exchanged numbers, talked about you, especially the part where you have a boyfriend." Souho explained. Y/n knew where this was going so she took a deep breath and continued it for him.

"Yes, I have a boyfriend and Karuto is trying to ruin our relationship just because I didn't fulfill the promise but he was the one who got away first. Hoe did not just point fingers on me, like no you broke the fucking promise."

Souho covered his mouth to chuckle. "So you're saying that it's all because of a promise you and Karuto made?" He asked to make sure that he got the topic. "I assume that it's a childhood promise?"

"That's correct." Y/n implied.

"Listen to me Y/n, Kitazawa is planning something bad once he comes back to your school. He's going to do something rash that will cause harm to you and your boyfriend. I don't know much about the details but please be careful."

Y/n was shocked at the change of heart, pinching herself to see if she was dreaming. When the hell did Souho actually cared for her? Did character development hit him too? "Who the fuck is you and where the hell is the ignorant and selfish Souho that I dated last year?"

"I'm still the same one." Souho answered. "I don't want you two to end up like me."

"End up like you? Huh? The fuck do you mean—"

Souho took a deep breath and started his part of the story. It turns out that he ran away from home when his parents discovered that he was dating a guy in secret. "Basically your father is hunting you down so that's why you ran away?"

"I did this twice." Souho raised two of fingers and smiled proudly. He added that he also dated another guy in secret and got beaten up when he was caught. "The reason I was bi is because of Hina. It was generous of her to share her chair when there's a lot of people in the cafe she was in. I accidentally vented out my problems and I caught feelings on how comforting she was."

Y/n made a sound of realization now that she knew the whole story on how Souho met Hina. She finally understood, though that doesn't change the fact that he ghosted her. "I'm here to help you, just this time."

"I'll apologize to Karuto for double crossing him because his intentions are really bad. I'm not doing this to clean out my name as someone who ghosted you from the past." Souho pointed at a streetlight across the street. "We must go there."

Y/n had no choice but to follow Souho yet she must remain vigilant just in case he was only pretending to be on her side. "Karuto was indeed suspicious, he approached me as if I was an old friend of his. He even knew about the ghosting incident, and my real name." The green haired boy explained as they both started to run in the direction where Karuto promised to meet Souho to discuss his next move.
