A Year Ago...

Even though it wasn't cleaning day, Y/n decided to take a trip to the girls' bathroom to meet up with the apparition boy. A relief washes over to her face like the ocean waves when she spotted Hanako by the window playing hanafuda with the pink mokkes. She'd known the boy for some time now so she's ready to tell him about this thing. "Hanako-kun, there's something I would like to tell you."

"Hi Y/n, what brings you here?" Hanako signaled the mokkes to hop away from the scene since Y/n looked like she wanted to have a private conversation with the seventh wonder.

"Can you go over to the third stall? While I go to the second stall, I just wanted to vent out." Hanako nodded gravely as he stepped down to the bathroom floor followed by the creaking of the floor boards. He moved to the third stall and leaned his back against the side of the stall, crossing his arms as he tilted his head up. Y/n sat on the bathroom floor by the second stall.

"I hope that you wouldn't change the way you think of me, I tell this to my friends and I'm pretty open about this topic." Y/n smiled while staring at her hand. "Sure, I get misunderstood a lot but who cares about what they say, the real friends are the one who accept you no matter what."

"What I'm saying is that, I like boys and girls."

Hanako blinked, to him that's like a brand new word. He heard about lesbians and gays at some point but he had never heard of that term at all, considering he used to live back in the 50s and 60s. Hanako blinked twice which made Y/n frown a bit. "S-Sorry! It's the first time that I've heard of that!"

"Basically I get attracted to boys and girls, romantically and sexually." Y/n simply explained, she waited for Hanako to feel offended at some sort of way or any other reaction that would throw her off, but she could hear him say 'ooh' from the other side of the stall. "I just had the feeling that you need to know since I trust you and all."

Hanako teleported to the other stall where Y/n was sitting by the transition of his tsueshiros. "I may be unfamiliar about that but I find it really cool that you like boys and girls." He grinned—considering that Hanako is in love with her, he now has to feel jealous towards boys and girls, he doesn't mind actually. "Thank you for telling me Y/n, I'm sorry if I made you feel like it was hard to tell, but I will support you no matter what." His cold hands clasped her warm ones as he laced their fingers together.

"That doesn't change the fact that you'll still clean the bathroom though~" Hanako winked, which Y/n groaned afterwards yet she smiled on how supportive he is. He sat down in front of Y/n as he played with his tsueshiros. "May I know about your lady crushes? Or have you ever had a girlfriend?"

"I thought I was straight at first but there's one girl that I fell in love with back in middle school, she's a highschooler, probably a college student by now." Y/n explained while carressing her fingers as she speaks. "I never get to confess to her because I had an emergency the last minute and that's the last time I've ever spoken to her. And no, I never had a girlfriend—I mean, Souho and I were a thing so what we have is not really official."
