How to get a boyfriend on the internet

This screams desperate, how desperate can I  truly be? Dalia Jones is never desperate. I don't need a man. I stared hard at the contract tempting me to post it on the website. I mean who in their right mind will sign up for this job, It screams human trafficking. Who posts a boyfriend job listing? No one Dalia. I said to myself

I worked all night on this contract instead of studying for my exam tomorrow, so I shouldn't let my hard work go to waste. Post it, Dalia post it. I hover my mouse over the green button that has in all caps POST JOB I can't do it, what if someone from campus clicks on it and applies, no what if my friends find out -you don't have friends Dee-but what if a serial killer applies and kidnaps me, I did post my school address.

I released a loud sigh, I need to stop overthinking and just post the damn thing. Maybe if I close my eyes, I can do it, I place my right hand over my eyes and click the mouse. After ten seconds I removed my hands from my eyes.

There I did it, I did it? I smiled and gave myself a pat on the shoulder, go me. Time for bed I thought, my back was killing me from sitting in the chair for so long. For the tuition you pay here you would think that they would invest in better chairs, money-hungry animals. I was about to close my computer when a notification popped up. Someone already responded to my listing. It was two in the morning. This definitely felt sketchy, nevertheless, I opened the message.

Valentino: Is the pay really $300 a week

"Valentino," I read out aloud, I clicked the profile, there was no picture, this was definitely sketchy. It says he applied for over 20 plus jobs and he made the account 7 hours ago.
The only thing that was listed on his profile was his resume. I clicked it, he had over 300 hours of volunteer service but not one job was listed.

Dalia Jones: Yes why?

I went back to his resume and continued to read it over, it doesn't say he went to school or not so I was still in the safe zone. But then again he could be a man in his mid-thirties that still lives with his mom and harass thirteen-year-old girls online. The name Valentino does not sound like a pedo name. A minute later he responded to my message.

Valentino: You must be loaded to pay a complete stranger $300 a week for two months straight.

Dalia Jone: Maybe

Valentino: I take that as a yes

Valentino: Can I get the job?

Dalia Jones: That is not how it works buddy, I still need to interview you. You could be the next Jack the Ripper.

Valentino: Lol I am not

Yeah, that was a very convincing answer, I thought. Why am I replying to him anyway, he could be looking for my IP address right now planning to kill me.

I should have never posted this online, especially with my paranoia. I decided to remove the listing and go to bed. A notification popped up again from Valentino.

Valentino: Why did you remove the listing, are you sure you're not the next Rosemary West.

Dalia Jones: Who is that?

Valentino: A female serial killer.

Dalia Jones: I removed the job because the position is filled.

Valentino: Liar, you just posted the job, I am literally the first one to apply.

Dalia Jones:...
