I'm on call with my friends and this is what i'm doing with that time.

I just drank tea, forgetting it was tea and not water. It scared the shit out of me when I realized it wasn't water.

I don't like the way i wrote this chapter

Every bone in Vee's body told her not to reciprocate, she knew what they were doing was wrong.

But Ollie raised her hand, gently caressing Vee's cheek, bringing an indescribable softness despite the harsh and demanding nature of the kiss.

Ollie was gentle and soft and warm, and Vee was only so strong.

The blonde gave in after only a moment, resting her hands on Ollie's waist and lightly gripping onto Ollie's shirt, as if begging her not to leave.

"What happened to," Vee managed out, voice breathy as she gasped for air between the words, her mouth never leaving Ollie's for more than a few seconds, "Wanting to talk?"

"Talking's boring," Ollie muttered against Vee's lips, pulling her in, dreading the conversation both knew was required. "I don't know about you, but I personally find this much more enjoyable."

Vee hummed against her lips, pressing back in, figuring that was conversation enough for the moment.

They suddenly heard footsteps from around the corner.

They immediately broke apart, Vee's lips were red and slightly bruised, and Ollie assumed her's looked in a similar state.

Both were panting, each on opposite sides of the kitchen as they caught their breath, the eye contact which they maintained from across the room saying much more than words ever could.

Tubbo walked in, eyes looking heavy with sleep, not noticing the two's slightly disheveled appearance.

"Water?" Vee said, trying her best to keep her composure as she finally broke the heated eye contact with the brunette.

"Yeah," Tubbo hummed, smiling slightly as Vee handed him an empty cup, "It's so dry in the Winter."

Vee laughed awkwardly at the comment, nodding as she motioned to her own cup of water, downing the glass like her life depended on it, grateful for the distraction.

Tubbo grabbed his cup, nodding to both of them before heading back to bed, still half asleep.

Ollie laughed humorously once he left, walking over to Vee once more, causing her breath to hitch.

There was no ill intent, the desire they both felt  for each other was a soft force, though sometimes the two were harsh in how they expressed it.

"Why is he always the one to interrupt us," Ollie said lowly in playful annoyance, bending down slightly to lay her head on Vee's shoulder, hands moving to rest on the blonde's waist. Touching just to touch.

"We really should talk, you know," Vee mumbled, lifting her hands to gently play with Ollie's hair, using her fingers to lightly comb through the slight bedhead.

Ollie hummed, sighing before nodding best she could, still pressed up against Vee's shoulder.

"I don't think I got it out of my system," Ollie muttered into Vee's.

"So what," Vee laughed, "You were just gonna make out with me till you get it out of your system?"

It was phrased as a joke, though it was a genuine question. Vee's heart ached at the idea that this was some experiment for Ollie, some weird coping skill she'd get over in a week or two.

"Oh yeah," Ollie smirked, trying not to laugh as to continue the bit, "And you know, I think it'll take a bit for me to get over it."

"Glad you're here to help I suppose," the humor left Ollie's voice as she unintentionally shifted her gaze from Vee's eyes to her lips.

"Oh my gosh," Vee laughed, pulling Ollie back into her shoulder via the grip she had on her hair, "You can't go two seconds without trying to kiss me."

"Yup!" Ollie chirped, a shit-eating grin resting on her face as she tilted her head slightly, attempting to get a view of Vee's face.

"You're such an idiot," Vee mumbled, moving her hands down from Ollie's hair to wrap her arms around her lower back, just holding her close.

"Helps that you're absolutely brilliant," Ollie smirked, "Gotta keep the contrast somehow."

"Opposites do attract," Vee smiled, nodding along before both of them crumpled into laughter.

This would never be easy.

But they weren't connected via ease.

They weren't the standard, never the assumed pairing.

They held an unloyal and dirty and awful secret which they shared, but it was theirs. And in the very nature of the scandal and the forbidden and the screaming and fighting which was bound to follow, there was a forbidden sort of beauty.

It was theirs, they each had each other wrapped around their finger, and maybe one day soon they'd learn how to handle and deal with it.

But today didn't have to be that day.

Today, they could try and fail and allow each other to mess up in the beauty and insanity of it all. They would try and try and try, and maybe one day they'd succeed.

Or it wouldn't. Or they'd become a distant childhood memory. A life lesson you teach your kids. A core memory engraved in your very soul.

They were liars and cheats and had no ill intent. Both were good natured, never wanting to hurt anyone.

Though at the end of the day, they seemed to only be hurting themselves, and maybe that was okay. Because after all, love was about sacrifice, and if they had to sacrifice everything they had and build it back up again, by god, they'd do it in a heartbeat.

I realize this sounds a lot like an ending, but trust me, it's only the beginning :)
