TW: Mentions of SA (sexual assault)

^^ This is just a reference to what happened with Keira and Nate, but I figured I should put it :)

The pair eventually split, each heading to their individual resting spots.

Vee was making breakfast for the group, being the first and only one awake.

"Hey," Iris greeted, leaning against the countertop beside Vee, observing the blonde. Vee could tell she had something to say yet didn't know why she was holding off.

Vee shook off the thought, figuring she'd tell her when she was ready, instead greeting her with a small smile.

"What's up with you and Ollie?" Iris asked, eyebrows furrowed, watching as the blonde seemed to freeze in place, before returning to her cooking.

"Nothing we haven't resolved," Vee answered slowly, figuring she meant the tense atmosphere which Iris had walked in on.

Truly, she herself didn't know what was going on between her and Ollie.

The touch of the brunette was addicting, burning every inch of her skin which her slightly calloused fingertips grazed. If all of this went to utter shit, Vee would do it 100 times over just to feel the soft exchange of light touches and stolen kisses into the night. The moon was better at keeping their secret than they were.

Iris looked skeptically at the girl, sighing before walking over and hugging the blonde, completely throwing Vee off guard.

"You seemed like you needed it," Iris grumbled, though despite her awkward and tense manor, her embrace was warm, never good at expressing fondness as the older girl hoped desperately that her actions conveyed it.

Vee was still frozen in shock, even as Iris pulled away. The blonde's face immediately lit up, smiling up at the older, a silent thank you.

"I'm gonna go wake Alex up," Iris said, nodding towards Vee, leaving as soon as the blonde hummed in response.

Vee felt arms wrap around her waist, the weight of someone's chin gently resting on her shoulder, and she hated the fact she genuinely didn't know if it were Ollie or Ranboo.

"Hi there," a deep voice spoke, answering her dilemma.

Vee felt herself tense, the reality of the situation sinking in.

Ranboo had saved her, taken her away from Keira. Introduced her to Tubbo, Tommy, Iris. Introduced her to Ollie. And how had she repaid him? By leaving his arms in the middle of the night, to go kiss one of his best friends only minutes later.

Ollie had kissed her. No, she couldn't play into that card. She had kissed back. She had reciprocated if not returning the touches tenfold.

She had no one to blame but herself. For once in her life, it wasn't a shitty situation. Not a manipulation or allowing herself to be guilt tripped. For once in her life, Luvena was a bad person.

She didn't realize she was crying until she heard the sizzle of water hitting the pan below her, Ranboo immediately furrowing his brows in alarm as he felt the shorter girl begin to sob in his arms.

He turned her around slightly, bringing her into his chest as he tried to replay the past few days, desperately searching for something that could be wrong.

He twisted her hair around his fingers lightly, reassuring touches to remind her of his presence.

"Do you wanna talk?" Ranboo asked softly, holding her tighter.

He'd give the world for her in a heartbeat. The second she asked anything of him, he'd follow through, no questions asked.

He'd give the world and then some, if it could solve just one of her dilemmas. He'd give his life for her smile.

"No," Vee immediately shook her head into his chest, leaning into his touch, relaxing into it, "Please, no."

Maybe Vee had been wrong. It was late and she wasn't thinking straight. (Get it cause she like.. snogged a girl)

They could forget, move on. They were both happy. Content. They had been content for months.

Best friends, but they couldn't put each other above everyone else they cared about. That would be selfish and irrational and idiotic. Luvena could be a good person. If she didn't have that, what did she have?

If Luvena was a bad person, then this was all for nothing. She had endured being locked in her room, being assaulted twice, hell, she held a knife to the people who had raised her for over sixteen years.

And for what? If Luvena was a bad person, then it was all for nothing. What was the point of going through it?

She had endured and she had survived.

All so she could be the best person she could be, both to everyone around her and herself. Ranboo had made sure she was a good person to herself.

So, if she threw it all away, what would it be for?

There would be no point in surviving.

If she hurt those around her, there would be no point in making it out of there. No point in getting better.

Luvena Scott would rather starve to death locked up in her own room than be a bad person.

It had been three days since Vee and Ollie spoke.

Vee knew herself, which was a new thing for her, though maybe it wasn't such a good thing.

If Vee wasn't being manipulated by any other outside force, she was being manipulated by herself. Manipulated by her nature to melt the second Ollie barely touched her. Her overwhelming desire to hold the brunette, whisper fond meaningless nothings. Quoting books until they drifted to sleep, legs tangled together.

Ollie had infected every part of Luvena.

Infiltrating her every thought and action.

And Vee resented it, but she refused to resent Ollie.

Maybe it was the brunette's bold, yet soft gaze. Her small smile held a thousand emotions, and Vee wanted to be a part of it all.

But Vee wasn't very good at resisting temptation.

However, cutting off her source only made Vee crave it more.

She found herself locking herself in the bathroom to watch old OllieMolly vods.

She would occasionally leave flowers around the house, then would spend the rest of the day wondering if Ollie got the message.

It was destroying her from the inside out.

But Ollie was an obsession. An addiction.

And Vee wouldn't let anyone get hurt, even if it absolutely destroyed her.
