Sorry for this lol (no I'm not LLLL)
The house was never empty but being around all of their friends was suffocating Ollie, the utter despair of loneliness despite never leaving her friend's side seemed to carve Ollie hollow, hyper aware of the ever-aching emptiness.
When the blonde was with them, she seemed adamant about ignoring Ollie's gaze, making a point to attach herself to Ranboo's side, though Ollie couldn't tell if it was a move directed at Ollie or not.
It'd be easy to say it was, make Vee out to be the bad guy, blame the blonde for screwing with her emotions, but Ollie knew that wasn't the case.
Vee's emotions were as fucked as her own, and Ollie figured it was Vee's way of reminding herself of the attachment to Ranboo, less a jab to Ollie of any sort.
That wasn't Vee, and Ollie liked to think she knew Vee. But if she knew Vee so well, there was one thing she couldn't decode: Why was Vee so persistent to avoid her?
The answer seemed obvious, everything that the two had shared was often overwhelming for the brunette as well, however Vee spewing angry and loving words in the middle of the night seemed to replay in her head over and over. That was a side of her she had never seen before, and Vee seemed to tuck that side of her away just as quickly as she had shown it.
It wasn't unusual for Vee to run from her problems, Ollie just never thought she'd see the day when she herself was the problem Vee was running from.
Vee was leaning into Ranboo's side, the two lounging on the couch as Drew Gooden videos were left on autoplay on the TV, the pair mindlessly watching the videos.
"Vee," Ollie suddenly stood in between the pair and the TV, forcing Vee to look up at the brunette, though she wasn't so resistant, she had been sneaking glances at Ollie at any interval she could, desperate to just soak in the messy perfection the brunette seemed to carry herself with seemingly without realizing it.
"Yeah?" Vee stuttered out, feeling her own heart pounding out of her chest, her feelings for Ollie, whatever they were, seemed to only increase as Vee had tried to purge herself of the brunette.
"Can we talk?" Ollie said, her eyes showing no emotion, though Vee was somewhat grateful there was nothing in Ollie's features that could lead Ranboo, or any of their friends, to pick up on what was going on between the pair.
"Yeah," Vee muttered, voice practically a whisper, "Of course."
Ollie nodded, reaching out to offer a hand to the blonde to help her up, before deciding against it, only nodding to herself once more before leading Vee outside.
"What did you wanna talk about," Vee muttered, her eyes glued to the floor, suddenly finding the intricacies in the wooden porch which could only have been gained with age much more interesting.
