Everyone gathered in the upper lab to discuss what happened to 1-S next. "H-he needs help, serious help." Alphys stated as 1-S took his place beside her. He stood straight as pin, somehow not twitching or wobbling in the slightest. "From who? The guy literally thinks he's a WEAPON that was created to DESTROY humans. Unless you know any monster psychiatrists or therapists, we're pretty screwed." Undyne stated, mostly peeved that anyone would do this to another. It was infuriating. "WE DO NOT HAVE EITHER, BUT WE HAVE THE NEXT BEST THING UNTIL HE IS SAFE AROUND HUMANS. ME!" The girls looked at Papyrus. "You..?" Papyrus nodded. "INDEED! I CAN TRY AND COAX HIM TO BE MORE CALM AROUND THE HUMANS SO HE CAN GET THE HELP HE NEEDS." Papyrus explained. "Well.. Papyrus IS the best with people.." Alphys mumbled. "How inconvenient is it that we somehow don't have monster psychiatrists or therapists? How did we live without them?" Undyne asked. The other two shrugged. So it was decided. 1-S would be staying with Papyrus in the Underground while the other two explained the situation to the king. "1-S, your orders are to listen to Papyrus, ok? Listen to everything he says." Alphys pointed to the lanky skeleton. "yes doctor." 1-S replied.

1-S hesitated the slightest bit at the door to the lab, but followed the skeleton out after Papyrus called to him. The skeleton kept calling him 'friend' whatever that meant. He didn't care what he was being called. He only cared about his orders. 'Listen to everything he says.' He reminded himself. Temperature no longer bothered him, the previous royal scientist made sure of that. Days of being locked in different temperature settings made him immune to such feeble things. "SO I THING WE SHOULD FIND YOU A NAME. 1-S IS NOT A GOOD NAME AT ALL.. ACTUALLY I DON'T THINK IT'S A NAME AT ALL."
"call me what you wish, i will obey as the doctor directed." He replied to the taller skeleton. Papyrus glanced in his direction. "ANY SUGGESTIONS?"
"i am a weapon, i do not have an opinion." He replied. "A SIMPLE NO, WOULD HAVE SUFFICED.." Everyone was entitled to an opinion. He wasn't sure what happened to make this skeleton think otherwise. He'd have to think of a name himself.

"WHAT SORT OF EDUCATION DO YOU HAVE?" Papyrus was unsure if he could read or write. "i was created to know the most advanced of problems in mathematics, sciences, and literature." Great news, he did have an education, though he wasn't entirely sure who gave him this education. "I SEE. THAT'S GOOD." Papyrus grabbed an umbrella and started through the rain of Waterfall. 1-S simply went through, uncaring of the rain. Papyrus was quick to share. "IF YOUR SOUL GETS TO WET AND COLD, IT CAN BE HARMFUL TO YOU." He explained when the skeleton blankly stared up. "i see, that problem doesn't occur to me. i've been through worse." Papyrus shivered. "WHAT KIND OF WORSE?" 1-S didn't have the words to describe, so he simply said, "just worse." Papyrus wouldn't push. At least, not right now. 1-S was in a... difficult and likely fragile state. "I SEE, WELL! WE ARE ALMOST THERE!" Flakes of snow touched 1-S' bones as he looked up. He felt confused, but he dare not show or mention it. He wasn't allowed to. He was a weapon, weapons weren't supposed to feel emotions.

They entered a nice cabin not far from the entrance to Waterfall. Papyrus gestured for him to sit down on the couch. "ARE YOU HUNGRY?" Papyrus asked. "i do not need sustenance, however it will strengthen me." Papyrus took that as a yes. "FEEL FREE TO EXPLORE, I'LL BE IN THERE IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS." Papyrus disappeared into the kitchen. 1-S stopped asking questions a long time ago. He would wait for Papyrus, wait for his next orders. Soon Papyrus came back in with plates of spaghetti and a broad smile. "I KNOW WHAT TO CALL YOU! FROM NOW ON, YOU WILL BE SANS!" Sans looked at him. "as you wish."
