All he knew was the darkness. He'd finally made the perfect weapon, only to fall into this... obyss. Gaster snarled. He couldn't stay here. Not when he was so close to achieving his goals of avenging his clan and giving the humans what they deserved. 1-S WOULD destroy humanity as he was TRAINED to do. He was waiting for Gaster to return and give him the order. All he had to do was find the determination to yank himself back into existence. It was possible, Gaster could be patient when he needed to be. So he waited.
🤍🤍🤍
Opportunity struck when he felt a large source of determination crossing through the C.O.R.E. He hadn't been able to reach the first determination source, there'd been some sort of barrier (hint hint) between himself and the source... but now it was gone. He could take hold of it freely and drag himself out. And that's exactly what he did. It took him quite awhile to stabilize after doing something virtually impossible like that, but Gaster was a stubborn skeleton. As soon as he regained his legs though, he wobbled off to his lab to fetch his weapon.
🤍🤍🤍
He had to keep reminding himself to be patient. 1-S would be there. It wouldn't disobey Gaster and even if there was a new Royal Scientist, it's not like they would be able to find his secret laboratory underneath True Lab. That's what he had in his head, anyway. He zeroed in on the room 1-S was locked up in, missing all the equipment that Undyne and Papyrus had taken, and even Alphys took some of the lab tech. He punched in the code with ease and opened the door expecting 1-S. He saw nothing. He seethed.

Now, knowing that 1-S had in fact disobeyed him, he had to locate and punish it accordingly. That was the easy part. Like all technology, 1-S had a sort of 'tracker' in it's soul. Gaster just had to focus on locating it and build up his magic more so he could properly punish the weapon. For now, he'd locate where down here 1-S was. Only... 1-S WASN'T down here. To Gaster's shock, he realized "The Barrier is broken.." The weapon was already on the surface somewhere. All he had to do was find it and give it orders. If it didn't listen then, it would definitely be punished.
🤍🤍🤍
The 'tracker' in Sans' soul was a two way street. As Gaster could sense where Sans was, Sans could also sense where Gaster was. Papyrus was lucky that he didn't have the implant as well. Sans jolted in bed at Gaster's sudden presence in the existing plane. He nearly had a panic attack knowing Gaster was alive... and after him. Sans didn't want to be punished again. He didn't want to be a weapon, he... he didn't want Papyrus to be hurt. So what could he do..?
🤍🤍🤍
Gaster stepped into the blinding sunlight, flinching a bit as he adjusted to the brightness. At long last, the surface. He looked down at another mountain and a city. Human civilization sure had grown since last he was up here. 1-S was somewhere down in that city. Was he already doing what he was created to do? Gaster would find out soon enough as he turned to make his way down the mountain. He was back and ready to continue where he left off.
