Papyrus looked between the angel hair noodles and the linguine noodles. He was out of spaghetti noodles, so he would have to make due for now. "SANS, WHICH DO YOU PREFER, LINGUINE OR ANGEL HAIR?" He held the two boxes up to the skeleton as he sat stock still on the sofa. "YOU CAN RELAX YOU KNOW.." Sans looked between the boxes. "i am a weapon. i do not have an opinion." He replied monotonously to the taller skeleton. Papyrus sighed. He was really having a hard time getting through to Sans. Then he got an idea.. "I ORDER YOU TO TELL ME ANGEL HAIR OR LINGUINE." Sans looked at the skeleton. He was kidding right? That was still an opinion. But it was also an order.. Papyrus had him this time. "linguine." He waited for some sort of harm, but the skeleton only beamed. "LINGUINE IT IS!" He grabbed the boxes and went to the kitchen, humming. Sans watched, with a blank gaze. He was deeply relieved... and confused. This skeleton, these monsters... what were they doing to him?

Papyrus came in with plates of spaghetti with linguine noodles instead of spaghetti noodles. I somewhat bothered him, but it would be better than letting Sans starve longer than he already had. "THERE YOU GO, EAT UP!" Sans took a bite, assuming it was an order. Papyrus gave him an expectant look. Sans didn't know what he was expecting nor did he dare ask. The doctor never liked whe he asked stupid questions like that. He simply ate in silence. "HOW DO YOU LIKE IT?" Sans looked at Papyrus again. "i am a weapon, i do not have an-"
"IT'S AN ORDER, SANS."
"it... is satisfactory." Sans said slowly. "SATISFACTORY GOOD OR SATISFACTORY BAD?"
"satisfactory good.." Sans replied, glancing around uneasily. "SANS, WHY DO YOU TAKE ORDERS?" Sans' gaze once more went to the skeleton. He assumed, this was an order as well. "last time i disobeyed, it hurt." His gaze shifted to a window as he watched the snow fall. "What did you do?" Papyrus asked quietly. Sans sighed slowly. It wasn't something that he really liked to talk about, but.. "i freed 2-p from our confinement so he wouldn't end up like me."
"And what did he do?" That was the part Sans didn't like to talk about.🤍🤍🤍
He'd managed to hide the youngest before he was caught and dragged back to the lab. 1-S struggled against the free floating hands while the doctor had a carefully neutral expression on his face. 1-S new better. He was going to get hurt for this.. "Where did you put 2-P." 1-S refused to say anything. 2-P was safe outside now, someone would find him and take care of him. There was a snap as one of the doc's hands broke his radius. 1-S screamed. "Where is 2-P." Still, 1-S refused to say a word. "You are a weapon, 1-S, you WILL listen to orders." Another snap as 1-S' Ulna on his other arm was broken. "Where. Is. 2-P." 1-S was crying. It hurt. It hurt bad, but he couldn't just give this man 2-P's location. He couldn't. He had to stay determined. Doctor Gaster broke more bones, stuck him with things that would make you feel like you were dying slowly. And he was. His HP was dropping permanently, probably due to whatever he was being injected with. In the end, he ended up giving the doc what he wanted, though 2-P was no longer there when Gaster went to retrieve the second experiment. That night, 1-S was branded as Doctor Gaster's, the mark would forever remain on his scapula.

"i learned that day, never to disobey an order again. bad things happen if i do.." Sans finished his story with the slightest waver in his voice. Papyrus... he didn't know what to say. Sans had, in a way, saved someone's life. Someone that was out here, unknowing of the torture that his older sibling had gone through for him. Sans froze up as Papyrus gave him a hug. He didn't know how to react, he'd never received affection before. He thought that he was going to get hurt at first, in all honesty, but no. It was just a hug. A strange and rather comfortable action that almost made Sans want to relax. Almost. He still had a long way to go, before any of that would happen though.
