Brooke pov:
I walked around with Sam; He shortly walked off to a comic book store; it wasn't my thing, so I walked around. The boardwalk was barely crowded tonight; the music filled my ears. I walked toward the carousel, a commotion occurred, and an officer pulled someone away.I recognized David's hair and voice as he told the rest of them to get off the carousel. As the four jumped off the carousel, I followed them, "Marko!" I called out; The blonde turned around as I called his name; he grinned at me as he saw me, "Brookie, what you are doing here all alone." he questioned, draping his arm around my shoulder, "I came with my little brother Sam, but he left to the comic store. So I decided to walk around for a while."
"How about we go for a ride," he asked as we walked towards their bikes. I agreed and jumped on until Michael brought a girl to his motorcycle. The boys rode closer to Michael and the girl until David spoke, "Where you're going, Star." She turned around and looked at us. "For a ride, this is Michael." he looked at us; until he noticed me, his face had disappointment written.
"You know where Huston's Buff is?" David questioned,
"My bike can't beat yours."
"You don't have to beat me, Michael; you just have to keep up." Star got on the back of David's bike, and Michael got on his own. We began to drive down the stairs. I held onto Marko's waist; As it was like last night, the wind blew through my hair, and the boys were laughing and cheering.
Michael was behind us; his bike was struggling. Soon enough, Marko did a quick turn as Michael's bike almost drove off a cliff; He fell off and onto the sand. He arose from the cold sand where he fell; Micheal went to David, shouting, "You're trying to kill me!" He slapped David across the face as others leaped from their spots to stop him. I froze; I didn't know what to do. I sat at the back of Marko's bike, staring as they held Michael back; David looked up, grinning. "How far are you willing to go, Micheal."
We pulled up to a cave; they dismounted their bikes, and Marko helped me off his. We walked into the cave entrance and jumped down from the cave's rocks to enter a room with pictures, posters, and random objects hanging up on the walls; there was a fountain in the middle.
"Not bad, huh? This was the hottest resort in Santa Carla about 85 years ago. Too bad they built it on a fault. In 1906, when the big one hit San Francisco, the ground opened; this place took a header- right into the crack. So now it's ours." David explained and walked around the cave.
"So check it out, Mikey."
Marko and I walked deeper into the cave; a pigeon landed on his arm. I looked at the feathered animal until he looked at me. "You can pet her." I lightly pet the bird on her head. "Marko, food" Marko raised his arm as the bird flew deeper into the cave; he walked to a small passage. I waited for him to come back.
David walked over and held up a cigarette. "Appetizer?" I shook my head no; he snickered, walked to Michael, and offered him a cigarette. Soon enough, Marko came back with a box of food. "Feeding time, come and get it, boys!" he grabbed my hand and sat me down next to him as he handed out the food. "Chinese, good choice, Marko," he sat next to me and shared his food.
"How are those maggots?" David said, and Michael looked at him, confused, until David repeated to Michael, "Maggots, Michael, You're eating maggots. How do they taste." Again, Michael looked down at his food until he spat and dropped it; all the boys laughed. "Leave him alone," Star warned.
"Sorry about that, no hard feelings." Michael shook his head,
"Want some noodles?" David offered;
Michael looked down, his face turning pale "their worms,"
"Worms?" David doubted and moved his noodles around with his chopsticks. The boys chuckled again; David picked up some noodles and put them in his mouth. "David," Michael gasped as David ate the noodles, "They're only noodles, Michael," David looked at Marko; he stood up and walked over.
David mumbled something in Marko's ear; he nodded, walked me, and held out his hand. "Dollface, I think it's time for you to go home," Marko confessed; I clasped his hand. "How I'm supposed to get home?"
"I brought you here; I'm going take you back home. You have to give me your address, and I'll take you home." I glanced at Michael and agreed; he helped me up the rocks out of the cave. As we stroll him back to his bike, I look at him.
"Marko, what are they going do to Michael?" He peeked at me as we still walked, "They ain't going to do anything to Michael. why do you care?" He asked.
We stopped walking as we looked at each other "That's my older brother." His eyes widened when he realized, "I don't see any similarities," I got tensed as he didn't believe me. "There can't always be similarities towards siblings." I spat, his figure tensed up at my remark. He flashed his grin, but his body was still tense.
"Let's get you home," we began walking to his bike again; he helped me on like before. Then, as I gave him my address, he started to leave; There was not much conversation since we couldn't hear each other through the loud engine.
He parked in front of my house and helped me off, walking me to my front door. "I swear to God, Marko, if they hurt him in any way, you're all be hearing from me," I whispered.
Before my hand could grab the doorknob, he grabbed my wrist. "Don't worry about it, doll; I'll make sure they don't hurt him. That's not us, and we don't go of hurting people only when needed," he admitted; I shook my head as he kissed my cheek. "Good night, see you tomorrow night."
"Good night." I opened my door walked into the dark home, and shut the door; I listened to his motorbike's driving away until I couldn't hear him anymore.
