The Hogwarts Founders Return

chapter twelve Peter Pettigrew and Sirius Black

       It was almost time for the term to end for the year. The students were all getting ready for their exams. James was sitting at his desk watching people on his map when he saw a name on the map. A name of someone that he thought was dead. Peter Pettigrew. And he was at Hagrid's hut with Harry.

"HOLY CRAP!" Yelled James.

Lily jumped "what's wrong, James."

"The rat is alive," said James.

What rat, Ron Weasley's rat?"

"No Peter, Wait Ron has a rat?"

"Yeah, he says it been in his family for twelve years," said Lily.

"Rats don't live that long."

"Ron said he is missing a toe his older brother found him."

"All they could find of Peter was a finger," said James turning white then red. "Sirius is innocent."

James grabbed the map and his wand and tan to Remus's office bursting through the door.

"James, are you mad!" Asked Remus.

"Kinda Remus, Peter is alive he been hiding as a rat Ron's rat. I saw his name on the map he is with Harry by Hagrid's hut we need to go NOW."

Remus got up without saying a word. James and Remus ran to where Harry was. Getting there just in time to see Ron get dragged by a black dog into the whopping willow.

"The shrieking shack," said James.

They followed Harry and Hermione in. Watching from the doorway they saw Harry and Hermione run across the room to Ron.

"Ron- are you okay?"

"Where's the dog?"

Not a dog," Ron moaned. His teeth were gritted with pain. "Harry, It's a trap-"

"What-"

"He's the dog... he's a Animagus..."

Ron was staring over Harry's shoulder. Harry wheeled around. With a snap, the man in the shadows closed the door behind them not noticing James and Remus outside. A mass of filthy, matted hair hung to his elbows. If eyes hadn't been shining out of the deep, dark sockets, he might have been a corpse. The waxy skin was stretched so tightly over the bones of his face, it looked like a skull. His yellow teeth were bared in a grin. It was Sirius Black.

James tried to run in, but Remus held him back.

"I'll go in first," said Remus. "But not yet."

"Expelliarmus!" he croaked, pointing Ron's wand at them.

Harry's and Hermione's wands shot out of their hands, high in the air, and Black caught them. Then he took a step closer. His eyes were fixed on Harry.

"I thought you'd come and help your friend," he said hoarsely. His voice sounded as though it had long since lost the habit of using it. "Your father would have done the same for me."

"He wouldn't now knowing what you did," said Harry.

"There'll be only one murder here tonight," said Black and his grin widened not hearing what Harry said.

"Why's that?" Harry spat. "Didn't care last time, did you? Didn't mind slaughtering all those muggles to get at Pettigrew.... What's the matter, gone soft in Azkaban?"

"Harry!" Hermione whimpered. "Be quite!"

"HE KILLED MY MUM AND DAD!" Harry roared lunging towards Black. Taking him down to the ground grabbing him by the throat.

During the fight, Harry, Ron and Hermione got their wands back.

Harry got up grabbed his wand and turned to Black who was sprawled at the bottom of the wall. His thin chest rose and fell rabidly as he watched Harry walking slowly toward him, his wand pointing straight at Black's heart.

"Going to kill me, Harry?" he whispered.

"You took my parents from me for many years and I'm going to make sure you can't do it again," said Harry.

Black stared up at him out of those sunken eyes.

"You don't know the whole story, Harry."

Lupin burst through the door.

"Expelliarmus!" Lupin shouted.

Harry wand flew out of his hand again being caught by Remus.

"Harry, he is helping Sirius, he wants you dead too, he is a werewolf," said Hermione.

"No, No and yes I am a werewolf," said Remus.

"Your helping Sirius but your dad's friend to."

"Yes, I am your dad's friend but no I am not helping Sirius."

"I will tell him."

"Tell who?" Asked Sirius.

"My father he is Alive," said Harry.

"Are you serious?" Asked Sirius.

"You had to say that didn't you," said Remus.

James walked into the room.

"No, he isn't Sirius you are. He is Harry your god son damn everyone been so confused," said James as soon as he entered. "Hey, Padfoot."

Sirius looked at James. Scabbers Ron's rat's eyes grew so big they looked like they were about to pop out of his head. James noticed the Rat's behavior and walked up to Ron that was holding the rat.

"And hello wormtail, you traitor stupid ass rat you know what you did."

All of a sudden Severus came into the room bursting through the door.

"Oh, great you're here we are all saves," said James.

"Remus and Sirius I knew I would find you two together. I told Dumbledore you were helping him, Remus," said Severus.

"Oh, shut up Snivellus," said Sirius.

"Umm, Padfoot we are supposed to be nice to him," said James.

"No, he needs to mind his own business but if the boy brings his rat up to the castle with us I will come," said Sirius.

"You won't be going to the castle pnce outside I will call the dementors and you will get the kiss."

"You're making a mistake, Snivellus," said Sirius.

"OH, I'M SO TELLING DUMBLEDORE," said James.

"Expelliarmus," yelled Harry pointing Hermione's wand at Severus sending him flying backwards.

"I'm so proud first you blow up your aunt and now you send Snivellus flying," said James wiping a fake tear.

"Why are you sticking up for Sirius, dad?"

"He is innocent he never sold us to Voldemort he didn't kill those muggles. Peter did."

"But he killed Peter.

"No Ron's rat is Peter.

Just then the rat bit Ron and ran being hit by a spell from James.

There stood a man in place of the rat. He was very short, hardley taller that Harry. Thin colorless hair that was unkemt and there was a large bald patch on top.

"Wormtail," said James.

"James, I'm not you-know0-who's follower Sirius is."

"Shut up, you are a stupid rat I know the truth you were our secret keeper not Sirius you sold us out to Voldemort. Then you killed all those muggles cut your own finger off and framed Sirius.

"No, I didn't."

"We should all kill you but instead we are going to the castle to tell Dumbledore everything, Sirius after tonight you will be a free man."
